| The Tale of TonyTheTailor: Stitching a Legacy | Started by: TonyTheTailor on Jul 19, '25 10:02 |

You ever wonder how a man ends up cutting suits for killers? It’s not exactly a career path you choose. More like one that chooses you, usually after life’s kicked you down the stairs, lit your house on fire, and handed you a needle with no thread. My name’s Tony. TonyTheTailor if you’re fancy. And this here is the beginning of something sharp, something stitched in blood, thread, and the kind of chaos only my family could pass down. My grandfather, Englander, wasn’t what you’d call stable. Smart? Sure. Stylish? Absolutely. But his head was full of sawdust and scripture. One day he decided he’d been chosen by a higher power. Not God exactly, more like some nutty deity he claimed appeared to him during a game of five-card draw. Within weeks, he’d founded a ginger-bearded cult in the back room of a bingo hall, preaching about the cleansing power of facial hair and legumes. Word got back to the wrong people. The kind of people who don’t take kindly to fringe theology or losing poker chips to weirdos in robes. He got executed at the card table, mid-sermon, with a pair of twos and a smile on his face. Then came my father, Monella. A plumber by trade, a dreamer by night. He once installed bidets in the homes of five separate dons in a single afternoon. Said it was his “calling.” But fate had other plans. During a heated argument about pipe pressure, he grabbed a guy’s head and delivered a swirly so violent it cracked porcelain. That guy turned out to be the nephew of a certain someone. Monella knew his days were numbered. He left a note in the u-bend and walked off the Brooklyn Bridge wearing a trench coat made of bath mats. So there I was. Orphaned by madness, flushed by fate. One night, drunk on flat Champagne and existential dread, I stitched together a pair of trousers using dental floss and an old church curtain. Fit like a glove. That’s when I realised I had a gift. I became TonyTheTailor. I started small. Altering cuffs, fixing bullet holes in Sunday bests, measuring guys while they threatened me with tire irons. But word got around. These suits? They weren’t just stylish. They were lucky. Made men stopped getting shot. Hitmen started landing more gigs. Mistresses swore by the stitching. My suits didn’t just make you look good. They made you untouchable. Now, the dream’s bigger. I’m opening the first House of Tony in New York. Classic. Timeless. The birthplace of fashion crimes and actual crimes alike. Then, we branch to Chicago. A city with cold winds, colder eyes, and men who know the value of a good lapel. After that, it’s Los Angeles. Gotta give the West Coast wiseguys something to sweat through in style. But Detroit? No. Absolutely not. I’ve seen what that place does to silk. I don’t stitch suits for men who live in garbage cans and think hubcaps are dinner plates. That place is a fashion war crime. What a shit hole. This ain’t just about fabric and thread. This is legacy. This is redemption for Englander. This is closure for Monella. This is my shot at cleaning up the streets, one three-piece at a time. So if you're tired of looking like a mug and dying like a chump, come see TonyTheTailor in your local business district. Where fashion meets forgiveness… unless you're from Detroit. |

Tony first off, congrats on the new venture. Proper move that. Big respect for turning dental floss and curtain fabric into an empire. But listen, while you’re out there making wiseguys look like runway models and blessing hitmen with bulletproof lapels, I’m still standing here in a suit that fits like it was tailored by a drunk raccoon. Everyone else is strutting round like Bond villains and I look like I lost a bet with my wardrobe. I’ve been waiting on these adjustments so long I’m starting to think the suit’s aging with me. So before your legacy becomes the stuff of fashion nightmares, help a geezer out and fix this crime against tailoring. Cheers, LG x |
