Well, looks like once again there's been a lot of talk about the casino ownership game. Do they make a profit? Are they worth it? The answer to those questions are yes, and yes. But it isn't passive income. No sir. You want to make money from a casino? Get to know your customers. Loan them money. Give them promotions. Make them want to play at your casino, not the one down the road.
This thing of ours is full of gambling addicts. You know what's nice? Losing $20m at the tables, and the owner giving you it back. Won't that make you happy? Now, what's that guy gonna do with that $20m? Yes, that's right. But now he knows you, and knows you're rich, so maybe he'll borrow off you. So your casino gets his money, and your loan shark gets his vig.
It's about being a gangster. It's about using your brain, and your wealth, to make more and more money. It ain't for everyone.
The key to all of this is the casino manager. My lineage (after a certain point we don't need to talk about here) contains some of the finest casino managers that walked the streets. Ask Striphe. I made the man tens of millions of dollars. And he's not the only one.
So, you want to make money in the casino business? Use your brain, and make me your manager.
Now, the second thing I want to talk to you about is Tetley. He's in my crew. I'd lay my life down for him. He's a living legend. But he hates me, and I don't know why. It's like he's mistaken me for someone else.
The third thing I want to talk to you about is how little money I have. I'm wiped out. I've gone from being one of the most annoyingly rich lineages in this thing of ours to having nothing. I'm a fallen aristocrat, and I don't like it. So I want you to restore me to my prior high status in this thing of ours.

It's sad that you once had a lot of money and now don't. It's not right. The loosening of the social classes has led to men like WaffleStompingChamp and SimonTheSwanHunter thinking they are my equal. My line can be tracked through thousands of years of prosperity, drawn in a line as straight as an arrow, but if you were to look at me now you'd only find a cool regular guy demoted twice by the cruel hand of a beggar-king. Someone give Kuku a casino. Set the world right again. |

A lot of talk from someone that doesn’t even pay his own debts off to multiple people. Now you’re asking people for hands outs… Appears you still have some growing to do, son. |

Manna read the whole thing over a half-cold cup of coffee, one brow raised, slight smirk on his face. Casino talk was solid. Lotta folks think it's free money—toss in some slots, kick your feet up, and wait for the cash to roll in. Nah. It takes hustle. You gotta work the room, grease the right hands, know when to be generous and when to squeeze. He respected that part. The rest? Guy was broke, needed help, wanted back on top. Manna had seen it before. Happens to the best of ‘em. But help? That don’t come cheap, and it don’t come off pity. You want Manna involved, you come with somethin’ solid. Real business. Real numbers. So he leaned back, lit a smoke, and muttered to no one in particular, And with that, he went back to minding his own. |
