| Accessing Own Stats | Started by: Kalliope on Mar 28, '12 06:53 |

Just a game suggestion................ perhaps each person could be able to access their own statistics such as how man kills etc....... a number not a percentage. |

ABSOLUTELY couldn't disagree more. MR as a game hand feeds us a lot of stuff already, i don't see why it would give us our "stats". There always should be an element of, "i wonder if i can hit", "i wonder how close i am to my next unit", if these questions didn't exists then the game would have no element of what if, which in my opinion is something that we need to preserve, best we can. |

Bump
Great addition should Admin decide to call this in. But the cons is it'll make this game easier to play, cause the data itself will provide a massive inbalance if you are true Mafioso. Also will take the mystery out of this game and no risk imply. Where the fun of it? |

I agree with Discos. There are ways to keep track of things. This was always a game that tries to keep things mysterious. The "what ifs" that were mentioned earlier. |

Ummm.... Is there really a need to call an idea dumb? I don't think the idea is dumb at all. I expressed that I disagreed with it, but there are plenty of games out there that let you see your own stats and I believe it works well for them. Of course, we have a different style so I wouldn't want people to see their own stats. |

I would support if it give us the ability to see how long till we ranked, but for stats and kill ..Hmm No? |

Well, we already have a pretty good approximation to knowing when we are going to rank. Let's call it 20% jumps. Every time you go up a unit, you know you earned another 20% towards your next rank. |

I do believe it was only a suggestion, so utter rudeness isnt really necessary. For new players when asked what are your answers? how many BG's have you killed? how many of this have you killed? it would be easier for them to find this out especially if they are not told they need to keep record. |

Again, no need to insult other people's idea just because they come from a different way of thinking and playing. |

If we don't call dumb suggestions dumb, how will people learn and stop making dumb suggestions? |

May I clarify why I (Kalliope), brought up this suggestion. At the time, I had been playing for a month, a complete noob. I was extremely overwhelmed with the amount of information there was to read, and no I didnt want to just go "Lolz I wanna shoot someone", I wanted to learn the game. I maxed my gun the same way everyone else did, but no-one told me from the beginning that I was supposed to keep a record, so yes I deleted my personals etc. So when I was asked the questions mentioned above, I had no idea of what the answers to those questions were. Am I dumb? (I know I was not called "Dumb") No far from, I'm actually very intelligent, but with so much to know and learn for a beginner, is very daunting, especially when you find out you deleted important information and hence a question like the one that I asked is presented. Now having learnt so much through great people I dont often ask "dumb" questions anymore, but I wonder how many beginners have not been taught the ways of MR and are making the early mistakes that I had. I would also like to add, if someone does not ask (regardless of how "dumb" a question may seem to someone else) you will never learn, and for those who dare desicrate the yearning for knowledge and growth, then you are truly an ignorant person who is extremely judgemental and rude, EVERYONE has the right to ask a question, You are MORE Dumb if you dont ask!! |

No..Not happening, not a chance in a million years. Full stop I've been playing this for a very long time, getting myself fitted with this condition . From my point of view, admin wont change this cause it is what make your game time really, had they change this the user activities will drop knowing they dont need to work hard because the data itself were there, besides you will kill one/two job in the family |

Being that this is the suggestions forum, and in consequence an OOC place, I am really sad and ashamed to have to witness such display of disdain by people who feel superior to others just because they've been places longer. |

Pay no mind to Shepard Valentine. I think he has a school-yard crush on you. Next thing you know, he'll be telling everyone you have cooties. Then it will evolve to punching you on the arm and running away. When he grows up he should grow out of it.
You go right ahead and suggest anything you want. This is, after all the "Game Suggestions" forum. |
