A young man wanders aimlessly down the streets of New Orleans, the wind pulling at his coat as he goes from street to street. Everywhere he goes, he asks questions, polite inquiries about how this city works. He is searching. He talks to storekeepers, cops on the beat, old ladies, children. He is looking for answers. The youth is strongly built, compact and powerful. He may not be too bright: he is straightforward, and without subtlety. But he clearly knows how to work hard. "Scuzi, scuzi, have you seen my papa? He looked like me, before coming here from the Old Country." Some kind soul tells him, yes, he knew his papa. He came here like many, with eyes full of wonder, looking for an opportunity in the New World. But, sadly, he fell in with the wrong people. "His familia here, they got wiped out in a war. Homeless, that poor young gangster got promoted, and then got a bullet in the back of the head." Now the young man has new questions, and seeks more answers as he searches the streets. "Why would some one kill my papa? He came here looking for an opportunity, and had no time to even make enemies. His killer didn't even have the respect to look him in the eye and tell him why he had to be killed." "Who answers for this? I ask the godfathers and the captains, the dons: what crime is it to be homeless? How can it be good for business to eliminate hard-working new blood before they get the chance to be something? Who will end this senseless waste?" "Who did this and why?" He will search for his answers. But will he find them? |

Walking through the streets, I see a troubled young man searching for answers that will be hard to find. "Hello young man, I believe the sole mistake your father made, was not getting himself affiliated. This is a hard world and it's even harder when your alone." I light up a cigar, taking my time to look over the youth. "You claim your not too bright but you've proved yourself wrong, you've done what many can't and you've learned from your fathers mistakes. LargeHamster and I Roditori del Chicago will see to your safety, it's just a shame didn't meet someone like them sooner." |

| I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from a family that has so much to teach regarding respect and honour. I am truly privileged to work for people who know that the best way to reach the future, is to educate the young in the ways of this business. | |
