With TonyTheTailor posting his subjective, biased, uncertified audit of every last 32 bot matchup, I have decided to compile a proper, analytics based overview of the round of 32 bot duels. I have crunched the numbers and analyzed each bot and each matchup, in order to provide you with the best possible advice on how to bet the next round of duels.* Without further ado, here is your guide. Duel 1
Our first matchup brings us two bots that each have won two duels. Noticably, PsychoPaul took victory in fewer shots, which may indicate stronger attack. However, Mrs_Cat avoided more shots, which may indicate better defense? Who the fuck knows. Goku.AI's expert stable of bookies gives us the rundown: Odds: PsychoPaul +250, Mrs_Cat -250 Tony's Pick: PsychoPaul Our pick: Mrs_Cat - we're banking on her strong defense to hold out until she hits. This also means we're taking the OVER. Duel 2
This one is truly a heavyweight matchup. Two of the strongest bots offensively may come down to who wins the coin flip! Odds: ObliBot -200, Bot_tom +150 Tony's pick: Bot_Tom Our Pick: ObliBot. Tony chooses his favorite based on city-based objective bias rather than the odds here. A rookie mistake. ObliBot wins the coin flip AND the duel here, meaning we take the UNDER. Duel 3
Another heavyweight matchup, with each of these bots being one of the few to win THREE previous duels on their way to the final 32. A tough call, as RagaGPT averages 6 evaded shots per duel, while TRODP averages 1.67 shots per duel. Offense or defense? Odds: TheReturnOfDaddyPanties -250, RagaGPT +200 Tony's Pick: RagaGPT Our pick: TRODP, and I hate that they're the pick because I'm absolutely not saying it out loud again. We're taking the OVER on this one though, as I think RagaGPT makes it interesting. Duel 4
This one could go on for a while. Here we have two defensive minded bots with a combined 41 shots evaded in 4 duels. Hush bot may have the advantage offensively, or maybe it just met two shittier shitters in it's matchups. Odds: DetroitsWaterBowl +150, Hush_Bot -100 Tony's Pick: DetroitsWaterBowl Our Pick: Also DetroitsWaterBowl. Tony once again shows his propensity to only bet on his own city, what a homer. I bet he thinks the referees throw extra flags on the NY Giants too. Despite being the underdog in the Goku.AI books, I have a hunch that DWB has wicked defense and will come out on top. And with +1500 odds, a small bet could mean a big payoff! We're taking the OVER on this one, expect a lengthy duel. Duel 5
Another matchup of Odds: Francis_bot -100, FutureScare_Bot +100 Tony's Pick: Francis. Shockingly, Tony does not think his own godmother's bot will win? Tragic. Our pick: Francis as well. I hate to agree with Tony, and you can call me a homer if you want: but really I just want Francis to win the whole thing to annoy Francois. Take the OVER 10.5 on this one. Duel 6
An interesting matchup here, with Gearz_Bot looking like a cannon, winning two duels in only four shots. However, he's only been shot AT one time, which may indicate he has benefited from the coin flip. Manna is one of the few 3 duel winners, and appears to have a nice balance of offense vs defense. Odds: JohnnyManna +250, Gearz_Bot -200 Tony's Pick: Gearz_Bot. That's 4 out of 6 homer picks for Tony. Our Pick: Gearz_Bot. The stats don't lie. I think? Take the UNDER. Duel 7
Hey, it's my bot! Damn, this leaves me in a conundrum. Cheesasaurus-Rex took 16 shots to kill in his first duel, but one shotted David_Martinez in his second, which ?could? indicate both strong attack and evade? Yet FishyBot only needed 7 shots TOTAL to win his two duels. Decisions... Odds: Cheesasaurus-Rex -150, FishyBot +120 Tony's Pick: Cheesasaurus-Rex Our Pick: FishyBot. Despite the oddsmakers making Cheesy the favorite, I just feel like FishyBot has the better gun. Also history has shown when I bet on my own bots I lose, so perhaps some reverse psychology at work here? Take the OVER. Duel 8
Another heavyweight matchup here, as both bots have a one shot kill to their names. KAREN needed only six shots to win three duels! Odds: KEEN_KAREN -150, Bob +120 Tony's Pick: Karen Our Pick: Karen. This one could really go either way, and may come down to who wins the coin flip. The oddsmakers have Karen as the favorite based on her extra win, so I'm going with it. I'm taking the UNDER 2.5 rounds here - whoever wins the coin flip wins this duel. Duel 9
A close matchup here, as both bots needed around 4 shots per duel to come out on top. CoffeeBot appears to have the edge. Odds: CoffeeBot -100, Frosty +100 Tonys Pick: With his world record FIFTH homer pick of the slate, Tony declares Frosty to be the favorite. No u. F A V O R I T E. Our Pick: We're taking the favorite here, and the OVER. I think it goes a few extra rounds, but Frosty comes out on top. Duel 10
Another interesting matchup of two bots that appear to be very strong. Both have a one shot win on the books already. Odds: BotDude +100, Bot_ox -100 Tony's Pick: BotDude Our Pick: BotDude. Our oddsmakers have declared OX to be a slight favorite, however I'm going with the more offensive bot here and taking UNDER 3.5 rounds. Duel 11
In the most lopsided matchup (according to our oddsmakers) we have the absolute FORCE that is Shelbot against a respectfully decently strong LeglessAsh. Tis only a fleshwound! Odds: Shelbot -300, LeglessAsh +250 Tony's Pick: LeglessAsh. This is perhaps the worst of the homer picks, as Shelbot is basically the Mike Tyson of this competition and looks like he may win the whole thing. Our Pick: Shelbot, UNDER 2.5, book it. Duel 12
A matchup of balanced bots here, with NeverFrancis having won one extra duel. Odds: FabulousBitchBot +150, NeverFrancis -150 Tony's Pick: FabulousBitchBot Our Pick: FabulousBitchBot. I have to agree with TTT on this one, and go against the odds. FBB should overpower NeverFrancis' superior defense, eventually. OVER 9.5 rounds for sure. Duel 13
The most defensive matchup on the docket, we have two bots with a combined 62 shots evaded. However that also means they both have cross-eyed aim, with GDB notably missing on 95% of his 38 shots taken. Odds: MassagotmeDueling -200, GeorgesDroolBucket +150 Tony's Pick: MassagotmeDueling, OBVIOUSLY. Our Pick: We're taking the underdog here. I expect the bucket of drool will be quite difficult for MGMD to focus on with his cock-eyed stare. Definitely take the OVER here, and watch your head for crossfire! Duel 14
In what appears to be a lopsided matchup, a bot with a 40% hit rate is matched with a bot that evaded 18 shots over 3 duels. Odds: BoomBot -250, The5Eazys +200 Tony's Pick: BoomBot? Our Pick: In a miraculous upset in it's own right, TTT picks AGAINST his city-mate and he makes the right choice. BoomBot should blow The5Eazys out of the water. Take the OVER though, as his defense may prolong the inevitable a bit. Duel 15
Eerily similar stats to the previous matchup, yet the odds are much closer. Why? No fucking idea. Odds: BBQ_Jazz -100, CrawzaddyBot +100 Tony's Pick: BBQ_Jazz Our Pick: Crawzaddy. I'm deciding to take the underdog on this one, as I feel like Crawzaddy has strong defense and BBQ_Jazz only okay offense. Take the OVER 4.5 Duel 16
This matchup initially appears to be even, but then you notice BotBotBot has a one shot kill. Odds: BotBotBot -150, DingleberryDuchess +120 Tony's Pick: DigleberryDuchess Our Pick: BotBotBot, and UNDER4.5. twigs is a cool dude, just don't let him be your solo proer. And there you have it. Solid work on the write up. As a proud member of F.A.R.T which is the Federation of Advanced Robotic Tacticians I can say your numbers pass most of our quality checks. I even ran them through our secret F.A.R.T process also known as the Factually Accurate Results Test and they came back surprisingly close to my own predictions. Of course I have to defend my reputation here. I have learned that betting is as much about instinct as it is about stats. Sometimes you just have to trust the gut and hope it does not let one slip. All jokes aside this was a top tier breakdown and exactly the kind of energy we need going into the next round. Even if we disagree on a couple of picks I am happy to back a fellow FART in the pursuit of bot betting glory. Great work, Gerald. |

First of all I want to say that I am still mourning the loss of DingleberryDuchess, I poured my heart and soul into that kid. Provided her with the best martial arts training, the best cereal one can buy (on a payday budget) to fuel her body and more importantly, the best steroids available to man to pump her up into a muscle gorilla to rival the phantom of the 12th Street Public Toilets. But alas, she fell to BotBotBot (that drooling half-conscious buffoon), and more importantly: I lost to twigs. I am struggling to accept this, finding myself on the second of the five stages of grief at this very moment. Still processing my loss (to twigs). Angry. Furious. Plotting his demise. Putting thumbtacks in his bed. Covertly stealing his lunch from the fridge. Pissing in his watercooker.
