Okay, as per my understanding, this is what happened. Mr_Corleone (MC) asked King_Kobra's (KK) permission to mug him last night. KK agreed so MC mugged him and was successful. KK said to MC--why'd you do that? MC replied--you said I could. KK denied giving permission. so... MC sent the money back with an apology but, KK re-sent the money back to MC saying it was okay. Now here's the fun part. KK went to Animal the next morning claiming that MC mugged him without permission. Animal went off and shot Vic (MC's Boss) for retribution for the mugging. MC tries to negotiate with Animal to stop the bloodshed. Animal says--maybe for $30Million. MC says--we can arrange payments over time. Animal says--my associates said "no" All hell breaks loose. Pardon the abbreviations, but I didn't want to type the names so many times. It was a set-up the whole time. Very Mafioso-like. But I wanted people to know what happened and why people started shooting at my CL, Mr_Corleone, without provocation. |

| This sounds like a last desperate attempt to garner support for your Boss. And while i can respect doing anything to help your Family out, I must say that begging is beneath a Mafioso. | |

| I see no plea for begging and some of the information is incorrect. | |

Sorry--I got two things wrong: 1) King_Kobra didn't agree to being mugged, actually. Mr_Corleone did it without his permission and didn't think he'd care. 2) Mr_Corleone failed the mug--the money he sent to King_Kobra was to placate him. King_Kobra sent back the money and said he didn't care and not to worry. So basically, this whole war broke out because of a failed mug attempt and many top ranked Mafiosos have died because they drew their guns and went to war over a failed mugging attempt. Is this a real justification for a war of this magnitude? Should Vic's and MC's families have been held accountable for the transaction of a Captain, or should this have been settled by Vic himself? Let's sound off! |

| You are correct in that he didn't come out and actively beg sir, but I still must say that coming out with this sort of thing at a time like this can only be construed as a act of desperation. | |

| I'm not desperate. I'm a thug. Thugs aren't by nature, desperate individuals. I'm a reporter on the front lines who's almost definitely going to die and before I do, I wanted to shine some light on what occurred. The truth is neither desperate nor begging. But trying to cover it up is both! | |

I like to be in the know, and whether or not this report is fully accurate (it appears to be fairly accurate after the editor's corrections), it's nice to receive updates on the happenings. o___0, I thank you. |

Just to correct your intel. He asked to mug me, he was told no. 10 minutes later he failed an attempt on me, when asked why he stated, "I thought you just didn't want to mug me". How anyone can mix up a simple "NO" as an answer is beyond me but Mr_Corleone was given his captaincy because he was trusted to be a good leader. Any leader that cannot hold his urge to mug, shouldn't be given to trust of controlling the fate of others. If you have a problem with that then so be it. There are even more events you are sadly incorrect about, but I'll leave that to those involved. Was a cute little twist you added there though. 5 uber cool points for trying. |

KingKobra, I appreciate you coming out and giving your side. As o__O appeared to bullet point his ''facts'', would you mind just calling out by number which ones are either fully or partially false? |

I also have knowledge that King_Kobra has mugged Mr_Corleone in the past, and vice versa. So this was started over a misunderstanding, just as King_Kobra has admitted. And if there are points to dispute, I'd like to hear both sides of the story as this "little" war is claiming a ton of lives and seems more like a grudge match and a power play than a rightful attack on Vic, whom had nothing to do with this and ought to have been the disciplinarian in this case. Thoughts? Let's sound off!!! |

I don't see what there is to discuss. It's all really simple. Someone leading his own faction of a larger family attacked a Boss in another family. That's an act of war. If you would realize that your actions have consequences and that this isn't some game we are playing, Mr Corleone might have paused long enough to consider whether the open act of hostility was in his best interests. Hey, if someone ran up on me and hit me over the head in an attempt to rob me, if I was armed I would reach for my gun, as well. |

| FlyingPig i must say i agree with pretty much everything you said, but Lets be honest here if you saw someone running down the street you would shoot them as they looked suspicious :P. | |

| You beat me to it Phoenix. lol. And then he'd train his gun on all their families, friends, relatives, neighbors, cities, countries, governments, and any alien infestations he could find just for fun. | |

| FlyingPig i think everyone not in your Family looks suspicious and i bet you even got some of your Family pegged down as potential targets. Nothing wrong with that i guess. | |

Well... I don't care who wins the rest of this war. Finally, we are not being ruled by an illiterate Don. |

I love to read these things because you find out why so many people had to die, had to perish and you see what a little a dispute can start something like this. I'm not saying I agree or dis-agree with the situation but you should always make sure you associate with people you trust. |

| What I'm wondering is: Was this worth it? I mean, now that so many top people have fallen on both sides (RIP), was the cost of waging a war over a mugging attempt worth it or would everyone have been better off not reaching for their guns in this case. | |

| I agree with TheGimp. You guys are arguing whether this stuff is true or false instead of making a thread to tell everyone about it. At least o__O tried to let the public know what was going on. He didn't even have the facts first-hand, but he still tried. And for that, I give him credit. Thank you. | |

| This whole 'war' seems like one big misunderstanding, and for that, i laugh intensely. This is what the world is about, misunderstandings, and either dealing with them appropriately(ill leave you to decide which side was right), or just moving on. and if we all just moved on then the world would friggen suck | |
