My first time in New York was amazing! Getting around was a bit expensive, especially Uber. Prices can be high during peak hours!. Overall, the city is worth every penny. Can't wait to visit again!

I have only been to New York once. I was by Times Square most of the time. Most of my transportation was via foot and my cabs were all paid for when I was out there so I cannot speak to the costs.

Honestly though I was not impressed, too many people, so much garbage on the streets, folks generally rude. And I am a big city boy so that was not what I expected. Chicago is a better city in almost every respect.

I have never been to New York, but would love to go. Maybe for a week, to include the surrounding area, as i guess that NY itself has enough for only a few days for a city break /tourist visitor ... sorry to everyone who knows NY better than I do!

Been twice - once work, once leisure. The first impression was unfortunately going out for a jog early in the morning with jet lag - streets are full of junkies at that hour. Otherwise the block system is a bit irritating as you’re constantly crossing the road. Every other building is a bank or a Starbucks. And to top it off, on the way home from JFK (which was certainly a grim airport 10Y ago) I ordered a beer and it cost $10…plus tax…plus tip…
