"LEFT! ANOTHER LEFT! Gooooood." Ian bobbed and weaved to the instructions of his trainer as the sweat began to soak his shirt. "PARRY! No - no I said PARRY!" The old man's voice cut through Ian like the wail of a siren but he knew that his trainer had the best of intentions. A few more rounds of rapid jabs and Ian found himself sat at the corner of the ring sipping on water, completely lost in his own mind. 

In the first Preliminary Round of the West Gost Golden Gloves event, Philthy-Rich had put up as close of a contest as anyone could have hoped for- both men had left the ring limping. Ian scored the Win...although he left sore, a bit bruised - and motivated as all hell.

Ian had wasted no time - immediately he started training at multiple local Gyms and visiting a nutritionist, he even stopped smoking cigarettes for the time being. Those inside his circle note that it had "been absolute hell" to be around Ian as of late, but he paid no mind. Second Round of the Prelims were just about up and he wasn't going to lose focus for anyone or anything. 

Illuminatiated knew that the public was on Santa's side for this fight and he couldn't blame them; Ian had never brought joy to the masses after all. The night of the fight came and Ian was thoroughly impressed, his opponent didn't look anything like he had imagined. Perhaps this was going to be a longer night than anticipated... 

DING. The bell sounded and Ian came out swinging- relentlessly connecting with jab-hook after jab-hook. Santa looked dazed out of the gate but managed to connect with a few jabs of his own. Santa went to throw a hook and BAM- Ian dodged, absolutely rocking Santa with a haymaker. Halfway through Round 1 Ian had been declared the victor. 

"KID? HEY KID!" - the sharp voice cut through Ian's daydream and brought him back to the moment. "Where'd you go kid?" the old trainer grumbled, the disdain apparent in his voice. Ian stood up and stretched for a moment. His fight with BigRagaTheOppStoppa was coming up very soon and he knew that he shouldn't be wasting time getting lost in his own thoughts. 

"You know, Paul, I was rusty for that first round... Went in to Round 2 feeling GOOD. Let's just get back to the training eh?"
