He walks out of the office building, wincing up at the bright sun, tugging down his fedora as he glances around at the people walking the streets. You there, gather round. All of you. I have something to say to you. This way of life, we live, it's a good life. A fine life. For those on the top. Now don't get me wrong, they deserve their positions. Our family heads deserve the life of luxury we give them, they deserve sitting in their board rooms, smoking their fancy cigars, having people to count their money for them. They've earned every ounce of this respect and lavishness. But what about you? What about us? Where do we come in? We're the huddled masses, the downtrodden and the defeated. This is a chance. To do something. To make a name for us. Iris has given me a chance to set up. To be one with the common man. I'm here for you, not to sip champagne, not to smoke fancy cigars, but to work with you. To bring us all up to a place where we can be proud of ourselves. Where we can all feel like we belong. A place for us. ALL of us. The New Scum. He flicks his cigarette onto the ground and walks down the street, shaking hands with the people he comes across on his way. |

Vienna stood outside their new warehouse, a slowly crumbling and dilapidated facade of neglect and abuse. Soon though it would go from being a condemned rats nest to a beacon for the downtrodden and huddled masses. She watched him shake hands as he walked down the street. He may be mingling with the common man, but he would never be one... not in her eyes. In the short time they'd worked together in the Java Cartel, she's seen the power of his convictions and firmly believed that his ideals would someday change the world. First hand she'd seen him help the little guy, offering a helping hand, and never a hand out. For this reason, she accepted when he came to her and asked if she would be his second in command. Daera was by no means a softie, but a firm believer that everyone, including himself, deserved a chance. She turned and stepped inside the warehouse, spraypaint haphazardly scrawled "THE NEW SCUM" on the door and crumbling brick. It was time to get started. |

She sits in her office reading the trade journals enjoying the peace that has taken over her warehouse since Daera was given the boot. Suddenly she feels the urge to vomit. She walks over to her window following the nastiest of odoours and grimaces as she looks below to see Daera and Vienna loading HER garbage bins with dead rodents. She storms down the stairs and out the door to face them. I buy you a business of your own! I give you permission to open the business!! I let you use my cleaning supplies. I pay for the paint! And THIS is how you repay me? The colour drains from her face as she sees Vienna carry out a large bag that is moving on its own.. Uh, never mind... Look forward to working...She gagswith you in Phily. Excuse me... She runs back to her solitude before she sees the return of her dinner. |

And I've seen him with girls of the night And he told Roxanne to put on her red light They're all infected but he'll be alright Cause he's a scumbag, don't you know I said he's a scumbag, don't you know!
