Admiral walks down the street wondering too himself how other mafioso treat there associates. As soon as he is finished thinking it all threw he prepares too hold a speech.

Too all sponsors, may i have your attention please. I have spoken with many new players and seen all kinds of ways how they try too find out how they can best live their life too reach their goal. As a sponsor myself I work in sertain fases when it comes too new players. It already starts with the first contact, there i try too gain information about what their motivation levels are and what they plan too reach within this world of ours. Based on that information i start working out a short tutorials too get them in the right direction from minute one, every day i will be talking too them, finding out what kind of problems they come by and learn them how overcome sertain obsticals. And in the 'end' test them too check if they can function on their own.

It isn't just for them that I work this kind of information/tutorials out but also for myself. For me it is also a tutorial...a tutorial too learn others..too give every person a chance. With this said i was wondering how you go work when it comes too new players and learning others.

We live in a period of rebuilding and regaining population and sharing this kind of information may contribute too this matter.

The way you say that you treat your associates does seem very interesting. Especially those who are the first in their line of ancestry to grace these shores. As a first generation it can indeed be hard to overcome certain obstacles so I'm sure that the help you give would be very useful and appreciated. It could also possibly breed some loyalty to your bloodline if your associates stick around and pass on stories of how you helped them when they were fresh off the boat.

Admiral can't hold the smile off his face as he hears Michelotto's respons.

And they always figured not only should you helping your new family member get on their feet, but you should be cultivating a relationship. Because in times of war the people who are going to watch your back the best are the ones who trust you and like you. Friendship is important in this thing of ours, and staying silent and to yourself isn't going to see you last very long when the bullets start flying." 

Michelotto nods his head in response

My bloodline many generations ago in another place was known to help people new to "the business" there, it was his opinion it would generate loyalty from those bloodlines and if they ever happened to succeed and reach the top that they would remember what they had done for them. In most cases this worked, and I see no reason why it wouldn't be the same here.

Michelotto smiles back and tips his hat to Admiral Ackbar.

Ajax, after a long and arduous period of hibernation in the cold and lonely alleyways of our war ravaged seven cities decides to ventre out into the light and hub-bub of the streets, to speak to his fellow extortionists in arms.

Things had certainly got rather crazy during the rebuilding process in our nation. In any case, he retorts to this rather fishy speech.

"A very nice topic Ackbar, and one that definitely needs discussion especially in these current times of rebuilding and regeneration. Speaking from a purely associate viewpoint and not the other way around due to my having very few ancestors that have actually settled down in this land, I can firmly say that I agree with what has been said previously by the fine people that stand here today. Forging a strong, friendly and long-lasting relationship between sponsor and associate is absolutely vital in the act of passing on knowledge and making that young boy or girl ready and possessing all of the faculties that would make them ready to receive a "button" and become a part of a familia on these shores."

Ajax takes a look around these so glourious streets, firebombed buildings still borded up and used cartridges and broken glass are still being cleared up from the last national war.

The small in stature Jew takes a look around just to see that some people are still listening to his speech and have not all wandered off. 

"Eitherway I'm guessig that the majority of associates do not, and this makes it supremely important that these associates do have not only a friend, but a strong respected old guard of a mentor with which they can learn about our more dangerous and inhospitable world... In conclusion, I would say that a new off the boat wise guy needs a mentor not a best buddy, that he can find elsewhere."

Admiral sees more people gathering around as they hear a good discussion coming up.

Admiral takes a deep breath and reply's on one of Ajax his points

'The Don's and upper structure are busy most of the time, and that is one of the reasons they point out people too become sponsors.'

'Don't get me wrong, i am not saying that they have too know everything! Just that small ammount that gives them the feeling that they are involved in a sertain way and worth something.

Well, there are a many number of reasons why assosciates and for that matter all lower members of an organisation are kept in the dark; offsetting the chance of a leak and your plans scuppered for instace. There are numerous scenarios that would justify in the eyes of a leader the decision to withold certain information or all information whatsoever from lower ranked members of "our thing".

Whether this is a right and just action or not is completely up to the indivdual. But as well trained associates or members in general, you should understand that these types of situations can arise and that sometimes you will not know or comprehend everything about everything, and as a well trained member you should be able to conduct yourself in a proper manner and hold tight and do what you're told, when you're told it. I myself am quite unexperienced in the ways in our world, and I'm sure that there is much that I need to learn, but this in my view is elementry.

Again, it all comes down to the training of members, and who is training them.

And this is something we must improve one and other in. In my life and that of my father i never really had someone that tought me the ways of a sponsor too the fully 100%. Just the bit's that got me started...and the rest ? well..I figured that out myself. I even heard words about 'people not beeing ready too become a sponsor'. Well...who is going too teach them i thought. And soo i started putting more energy in it. I must say i do agree on your view Ajax, but that is something that has too change. How too create a sertain trust with someone that you actualy don't know...yet..

Unfortunately the way I see it there is no way to police this issue. The right to give a made member of a family the right to take newer members under his/her wing is totally in the hands of the family head, end of. Due to this honour being at the Don's total discretion then this will mean that different people have different ideas of what constitutes a good sponor. But then again maybe the honour of becoming a sponsor is seen as a given, something that you are entitled to as soon as you get your button, rather than an honour that has to be earned. In my fathers case this is definitely true. In all fairness he didn't really show any leadership potential or the ability to impart his new found knowledge on some other immigrant. But yet he was given this honour.

In this case, is the role of a sponsor inflated? Do we need them at all if people can just pick things up as they go along themselves?

Becoming a sponsor should be something more, the moment you take on the life of someone that just came into this thing of ours. You have too know what you are doing and will give this new born a fair chance. The moment you want too start a life of crime the chance of you making a mistake is very, very easy. With that said, and following on your second point i think the quality of sponsors is dropping because the honour of becoming a sponsor is given away pretty easy. Yes, some people have it in there blood too become a great leaders others don't.

So, i would't never take the chance of thinking 'That someone already knows that' but rather fill them in on pretty much everything i know on that sertain topic. This kind of communication also genarates a sertain trust with one and other because you are sharing information that may make someone better than you one day. Maybe it is the fear of losing control and power that they hold critical information too themselves, that's how the gouverment works these days in my opinion.
