This is a subject that needs to be approached with sensitivity.  Recently, this community lost an active member - many people were affected and he is rightly remembered in threads as well as in people's mind.  There has been more than one player pass away before their time and they are, rightly, remembered.

I suggest that there could be a dedicated forum specifically for this kind of thing - real life emergencies, real life mourning and rememberance.  We are, after all, a community.  It could be admin controlled, memorial threads could be made *sticky* and we wouldn't have to worry about memorial threads moving down a page or whatever.

I understand the sentiment behind this, as someone that counts Cruel as a friend, but I disagree with the addition of another forum. I think I would find it quite morbid to have to check a forum dedicated to tragic things happening in RL, and would rather they remained in the "Outside" or "Out of Character" sections.

Just my thoughts.

That's a good point.  It's a difficult one - I also think it's perhaps not the best to have them alongside jovial game chat.

It's a tough call.
