This is obviously as much an issue now as it was way back in the "old country" when every young hoodlum thought this life was the way forward and it was glamourised in the fashionable publications of the day. While it may be as relevant now as it was then, the answers still haven't changed. Crew leaders can and will recruit how the see fit. The smart ones wait and build slowly and intelligently, the lucky ones build quickly and unearth a few gems while trying to avoid big mistakes and the bad ones recruit as much as they can with little obvious care. A crew leader's longevity is dependant on the success and competence of his/her recruits and the smart ones know that as well. Let the member whores try and recruit everyone. Remember a fine wine takes time to mature. Do these leaders want to be a vintage or just cheap plonk? |
