Roll up, Roll up!

So, its that time of year again. The Grand National is almost upon us!

For those that don't know (and havn't bothered to click the above link) The John Smith's Grand National is the climax of three of the most magical days of racing in the jumps season at Aintree Racecourse (following Liverpool Day and Ladies' Day) and one of the highlights in the racing calendar. But the Grand National is more than just a horse race; it's one of the UK's most iconic events, a race that stops the Nation and a sporting institution.

Almost every Man, Woman and Child picks a horse to place a bet on for this race as unlike most horse races, The Grand National is very much Pot luck when it comes to winning. The course is long and hard and a lot of the horses that enter fail to finish because of this, many falling at various hurdles.

Below is a list of the Horses's that have been entered this year. I will be running TWO Sweepstakes on this event. There will be a Millionaires Row where EACH horse costs $1 million, and also a lower cost sweep of $250k per horse. This is two seperate Sweeps, if you want to enter both you may feel free to do so. For the Millionaires Row I will only allow 2 Horses purchased per person for today and tomorrow, on Saturday if there are horses left I will accept more purchases to ensure the whole race card is sold.

For anyone that doesn't understand what a sweepstake is or how it works; You pay the price mentioned above, and I will inform you of the horse you have drawn. I have given each horse a random number from 1-40 and these will be given out in order of money's received; i.e. if SYNCHRONISED was given number 1, then the first person to Pay their stake would be given SYNCHRONISED as their horse.

I hope this is all completely clear, though if there is any questions please feel free to ask me either by mailing or posting here. Lastly and most importantly, your Horse will only be assigned to you when I receive your money, no money no horse! Now, here's that list of horses I mentioned..........

PRICES: Millionairs Row - $1 million per horse (max of 2 horses until Saturday 14/04/2012)
Normal Draw - $250,000 per horse (max of 4 horses until Saturday 14/04/2011)

If either Sweepstake is sold in full between before midnight tonight I will open another Sweepstake at the same cost to allow more people the chance to play.

I just realised I left out a pretty major bit of information....... Prizes!

Millionaires Row:

1st Place - $25 Million
2nd Place - $10 Million
3rd Place - $5 Million

Normal:

1st Place - $6.25 Million
2nd Place - $2.5 Million
3rd Place - $1.25 Million

Though here's a bit noob question for ya; what about the new players who don't have 250K yet to miss because they're working hard to rank up and sell some hard stuff? Maybe something like a Poor Alley? You could start with 10K or something?

I do appreciate the fact some newer players don't have the cash required. Though there are still 2 days until the race commences. There are many achievements that grant small amounts Credits that could easily be completed over the course of 2 days to give them the 250k required.

However; Should there be a high demand I would be more than happy to facilitate another Sweep for those with less disposable cash.

Almost half the horses have been sold in the Normal Draw. A very low uptake in Millionaires Row has led me to believe there isn't a lot of rich gamblers out there; shame.
