| Gutter Saints A New Frame Rolls In | Started by: TheDude on Nov 06, '25 22:15 |

The city was quiet that night, save for the low hum of a flickering neon sign above a shuttered bowling alley. The smell of rain clung to the air, mingling with cigarette smoke and the faint echo of jazz drifting from a passing cab. Inside, a single figure stood under the tired glow of a hanging bulb, cardigan collar up, fedora tilted just enough to hide a grin. A glass of something strong sat on the counter beside him. It was TheDude. He’d never been one for noise or glory. The man had always done his talking with calm words and cleaner actions. But tonight was different. Tonight, he was making it official. He took one last drag, exhaled slowly, and spoke with that easy tone that carried through a room without ever needing to raise his voice. “Funny thing about life, man. Sometimes you roll a strike, sometimes the lane’s crooked. But you keep throwin’. You stay chill. You keep the faith.” And with that, he flicked his cigarette into the gutter and smiled at the name above the bar.
From this night forward, the alleys, corners, and smoke-filled dens of the city would know a new family, one built not on fear, but on balance. A place for the quiet hitters, the thinkers, the folks who keep their hands steady when the world starts shakin’. He paused for a moment, straightened the small brass plaque, and smirked. “We don’t shout. We don’t rush. We just roll clean and strike true.” Word spread quick, TheDude had been given the nod by DarwinRoss himself. He’d seen somethin’ in this man, a spark, a code, maybe just a sense of peace in a chaotic world, and handed him the reins to run his own show. TheDude didn’t take it lightly. He raised his glass in quiet respect, murmuring his thanks. “To DarwinRoss, for seein’ somethin’ worth buildin’. Appreciate the faith, man.” And so, the lanes opened for a new order. Gutter Saints would be their name, men and women of the street who knew that in this thing of ours, it ain’t always about how fast you move… it’s about how steady you roll. As the rain eased and the first notes of morning crept through the alley, TheDude finished his drink, adjusted his shades, and headed for the door. “Alright then,” he muttered with a grin. “Time to roll, Abide in the gutter, rise as a saint." |
