You know I never wanted this right. When I returned to this thing of ours, it was to seek out old friends, shoot the shit, and abuse the dice tables. That was the entirety of my plan. Funny how quickly things can change.

Slim paused to reflect on the last four months. Many things had occurred, some good, some great, and some pretty damn awful.

It wasn't long after the late SimonTheSwanHunter set up shop that I was recruited to be an associate for the crew. Per the standard in Detroit, I was mugged at every chance, made to clean out the infamous 12th Street Public Toilets, and worst of all, babysit UglyInBredGeorge. I often referred to these incidents as punishments, but old Simon called them teaching moments.

As my time as an associate went out, Simon started to tolerate me. Hell, he almost even started to trust me. Then the faithful day came when he told me flat out ‘I'm authing you, don’t question it as it's not an option’ and thus The 12th Street Swan Hunters were founded. I took the mantle of crewleader as was instructed, and did the best I could do for the city of Detroit. Things all came to a crashing halt. Godfather Simon was gunned down in cold blood, and I was left with TheNewGuy to pick up the pieces.

Detroit was devastated by this loss. Shortly after the funeral, Simon’s last words were revealed from his will. I was to run Detroit as he would have run it. Detroit justice would continue, and SlimRagnarok would dole it out.

Now here we stand, a few weeks after Simon's passing. Godfather Chairman SlimRagnarok, King of Detroit. With Godfather TheNewGuy running Corktown, I firmly believe Detroit has a bright and prosperous future in front of her. Muggings will increase, The 12th Street Public Toilets will remain a beacon of social activity in the city, and we will continue to murder every swan in sight.

The only possible fly in your ointment, Godfather, is me under TheNewGuy, but he assures me I'll be fine and has promised to assist me in any way possible... but his phone is constantly engaged and he is never in his HQ when I call around... he's very busy for a complete new guy.
