| Noob Question: How Did the Very First Crew Get Started? | Started by: Insider on Nov 27, '25 22:16 |

Hello everyone! I'm new to the game and have been reading through the guides. I noticed something about the mechanics that has made me really curious:
My question is: How was the very first Crew ever created? If everyone started from zero (as Civilians/Thugs), there wouldn't have been anyone around to promote the first player to Made Man. Is there a system rule that automatically promotes the first player who meets the requirements (like 25 Units) before the first Crew is formed? Sorry for the noob question, but this detail really caught my attention! Any information is appreciated, thanks! |

There is a game feature where you can self-promote if you are wiseguy BUT have all the required stuff to get mademan (age/xp) The pro: do it yourself, no one else needed The con: You become a "brand new" made man, meaning if you had 39 units, bam, thats reset back to bare minimium mademan level. |
