I have been meaning to bring this topic back to the floor so here I am. As the holidays approach fires are more frequent. Check your smoke detectors and have backup batteries available. If you do not have smoke detectors contact your local fire department and they will happily assist. In larger buildings know the escape plan and never get on an elevator. If you tell one person to check their smoke detectors and ask them to do the same we will be saving lives. Our firefighters are heroes but they are not God. They are gutted when somebody dies in a fire so let's prevent that from happening. Happy and safe holidays everyone. |
