He walked out of his new warehouse, hearing the rush of traffic, smelling the air, feeling the pulse of his new city. New York, New York. A hell of a town. And now it's my town. The legacy of New York is a long one. Legends have risen and fallen here, and now it is my turn to try and leave my own indelible mark here. Now I'm not presumptuous enough to even think I could compare myself with those legends. But I can feel their gazes staring down upon my face, watching me, and I will do my best to honor their legacies.This is a fresh start, a new chance, one that I undertake with a grave sense of responsibility. I wish to extend my utmost thanks to Iris, Alessia, and Skulls for entrusting me with this opportunity, I will not let you down. New York, New York. Like the man said... If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere. He rolled up his sleeves and went back to making sure the movers handled the unpacking correctly, knowing there would be hell to pay if Vienna's "art collection" was somehow damaged in the move. |

She sways on her feet and holds up a martini glass. For celebratory purposes only, I assure you. Daera... You know how I feel about this move. Anything that gets me close to those blackjack tables in Atlantic City, and I'm there! Raising her fist in victory, she sloshes her gin all over the place and her dress. Slowly she brings her arm back down and stares into the now empty barware. Pooh. |

She lands in the Big Apple in time to listen to Daera's speech while hiding in the shadows. The night before had been a drunken night for the Scum as they were celebrating by moving their personal belongings, and nothing else, out of their Philadelphia location. Things may have gone sideways at one point, no one is quite sure. Through the blurred lines of a hangover she places her hand on Daera's shoulder. It is with great pride I give you the chance to make it on your own. I am sure you will do well with the guidance of your partners in chocolate making. I just wish to apologize for anything that was said last night... That may have been taken the wrong way.... She looks at Daera. When I get to drinking you know the words never come out right.... I'm sorry... She blushes. Damnit, I'm just going to confess now. I STOLE ALL OF VIENNA'S PANTIES AND BRAS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO LOSE HER. That is all. Congrats and such. She runs off to catch a Broadway show while in town. |

A young woman, appearing to be lost, approaches the crowd as they listen to the man speak. She catches the tail end of the conversation and gives a small smile. Congratualtions on your move then, Sir. I hope New York is as good to you and yours as you are to her. Bowing her head she turns once more, ambling down the streets in an attempt to figure out just where she is headed. |
