The Bloody Tissue, Issue II Started by: Branston on Jul 20, '08 20:12
A note from the Editor(s)

Another second Sunday, another Tissue. Myself and Bloody would like to thank those who have gladly submitted to interviews, and to those who have contributed articles. Be aware we are always looking for writers, and we will print absolutely anything unedited and uncensored unless, of course, it conflicts with the guidelines City Hall set before us.

A note on anonymous articles: one of the pillars, nay, the very foundation on which the Bloody Tissue stands is that we are a voice for the plebians. Regardless of absolutely any factors, the Tissue does, and always will, allow mobsters to submit articles anonymously.

Thank you for the support, and enjoy the issue.

A two-faced, self pity world.

I have walked these streets for nearly 5 months now. I have seen leaders come and go. I have also seen the same thing over and over again. I have seen A shoot B, then seen B's father arrive in the street and bitch and moan about how he his father did not deserve to die and how he was a much better leader than those already in this world.

SHUT THE FUCK UP.

You died so deal with it. There was obviously a reason as to why people wanted your father dead. Whether it was because your father was a poor leader or because they wanted total power to themselves, it matters not. Nothing you can say now will change the fact your father is sleeping with the fishes.

I then see these same people work their way back up the ranks and follow in their fathers footsteps, get a crew of their own and kill someone who they saw as a threat. Apprently it is alright to do so now as you're on the winning side. Can you all not see you are as a bad as each other? It's a dog eat dog world and the biggest dog always eats the most. So, next time your family line dies could you please make sure you tell your son to keep his mouth shut and not to disgrace your family name. It's boring, repetitive and serves no purpose but to kill the streets. Instead, demands vengance upon the time of your death and give them the tools to have a chance of avenging your death.

Would you really want to die?

So, your family is at war. The streets are a dangerous place and you're scared of your own shadow. Your boss has asked you to eliminate one of your enemies best hitters. You arrive at his house in the dead of night and approach the house slowly and in the shadows. Your plan is to sneak in and gun him down in his sleep. As you reach the back of the house you go to test the back door and find it open. All your senses scream that there is something wrong but the fear of failure drives you on. You push open the back door and enter the kitchen, you creep past the table and walk through into the living room where the stairs leading to the second floor are on your right hand side. You advance and set one foot upon the stair. This is the last thing you see as a 9mm piece of metal enters yourforehead and ends your life.

Why did this happen? because your boss went to war the Honourable way.Your boss decided to tell the person they wanted to kill that they were going to be attacking them. Thus, every member of their family is put on alert and thus leads to your demise. Would you be happy?

Those that have attacked the current leader for warring when their enemies are not here need to take a step back from their loyalties and look at it from a sensible perspective.

You have your 50 man family.

You have the 50 man family you want dead.

You shoot all the 50 man families hitters and then the RH and leader.

You lose none of your 50 man family and are stronger for it.

How can you argue with that logic? How could you possibly say it is wrong to not put yourself and your family members in danger?

-Bloody

Give him half a chance, I'll bet he'll rob you if he can.

This week I managed to have a full conversation with Daera without him steering it toward my lack of effort and general malaise in the family HQ. Below are the answers to all the questions you (maybe) want to ask him.

Branston: First of all, New York has had a rich history in recent times; I don't think it's a stretch to say PrinceofCheese, Deviant and JonnieReese will all go down in history for one reason or another. How does it feel to be following on from that?

Daera: I'm not in their league, to even suggest that I am is completely disingenuous. They were all titans in this world, regardless of whether or not my bloodline got along with them, I cannot and would not deny their accomplishments. I only hope I can carry on a legacy that stretches back years, in my own small way. And only history will be able to judge whether I've accomplished that or not.

Branston: A modest answer. What do you feel you could bring to the Big Apple to be remembered and, as you put it, carry on a legacy?

Daera: I feel my best role is as a teacher. I'm going to start a school in New York to teach and train young gangsters, help them acclimate to this lifestyle of ours. Honor and respect are words that are bandied about so often, but to many that's all they are, words. If I can help teach new immigrants the meaning behind those words, then that will be the legacy I wish to leave.

Branston: An answer that I'm sure will be a revelation to some, particularly your critics who number quite a few. On that subject, your decorum has been outstanding compared with some previous members of your bloodline. Was this a concious effort to try and alter the way some perceive you?

Daera: My father and his father before him and his fath... sod it, my entire family line has been full of bastards. This isn't a shock or a surprise. But it started out as a promise to Iris to try and behave, and it's grown from there. Being helpful accomplishes far more than being a prick, and I think I'm starting to get that.

Branston: I'll agree there, and quite the difference from so many who see respect and honour only as a fade when lower ranked, to be discarded when one reaches a rank of authority. On the topic of authority, some question marks have quietly been raised about the mobsters in your upper echelons, people you haven't always seen eye to eye with to say the least. Do you have any comments regarding that?

Daera: I've been given a chance, an opportunity that most - including myself - thought I would never get. I want to do something different, not surround myself with asskissers, but to bring in people who I haven't seen eye to eye with, to try and work with them because I know they won't bullshit me. Why should I deny anyone an opportunity when I've finally gotten mine? It would be beyond hypocritical of me.

Branston: And regarding your structure, there is just one final matter that needs to be cleared up. Could you shed some light on Vienna and her rumoured yardstick fetish?

Daera: When it comes to Vienna and her fetishes, the less I know the better for my mental health. I've not heard about a yardstick fetish, but with everything else she's into, I can't really say as I'm all that surprised.

Branston Thank you for your time, Daera. Your invoice should arrive within 3 working days.

Watch out, watch out?

Now, I am going to bring this to the attention of the world. It sickens me to write about perhaps one of the most underhand, dirty and scummy acts known around these parts.

When a sleeping bum is shot at and missed the police take him into their shelters and protect them for 4 hours. The news then filters around town that they have been realeased and would be hitters post a hit on the grapevine that the kill is theirs. Unfortunately, certain members of this community have been found to be buying off hits.

Jul 18, '08 04:46 Sc0pe_D0pe has bought off your hitlist on Chuckie.

Like I said. Dirty, Scummy and Underhand. But not only is this member of our community buying hits off. Oh no, he is now accusing others of using performance enhancing drugs AKA Scripts (which were outlawed by the Gods when this world began) to kill IA's. Anyone who gets there before him is currently being reported just for being faster than himself.

So, a word to the wise. Be careful when Sc0pe is about or you may end up having the evil eye placed upon you.

Please note: despite the death of Sc0pe_D0pe, I have still decided to print this article (as ever, unedited and uncensored), not because I wish to slur this man's name; but because I personally believe the issue it addresses is one of great significance that cannot be ignored.

-Branston

A Charming Allegory.

After meeting my Boss Daera in a local New York Bar to discuss some family business, I felt a tad peckish and decided to head to a restaurant just down the road that I'd never been to before. I highly doubted they'd serve the cheese and pickle sandwiches I'm so famously enamoured with, but it was worth a try nonetheless.

Shrugging my suit jacket off and taking a seat in the nearest unoccupied booth, I signalled to the nearest waitress to bring me a menu. My stomach growled in anticipation at the thought of what culinary delights would be on offer, so imagine my dismay and surprise when I was given not a menu, but a step by step guide instructing me not only how to order food, but how to eat it also.

I'll be honest with you, avid readers, I felt insulted. Sure, I'd not been in this particular restaurant before but shit, I knew what I was doing, I've been in other restaurants before. I made a promise to myself, as it were, that even if the food was the best I'd ever tasted, I wouldn't go back to that restaurant based on the patronising way they treated me. I mean, Christ.

Sighing at my treatment thus far, I decided to grit my teeth and start reading this little guide they'd given me since I'd nothing else to do. No chance. Every other sentence I read, was interrupted by some do gooder asking if there was anything I could help with and generally ramming their feel good attitude down my throat. How the hell was I meant to read this thing if I was being pestered every two minutes? I told them time and again, if I want some help I'll ask for it, in the meantime let me go about my business;heesh, this the Mafia, I mean, a restaurant, not some damn charity kitchen!

-Branston

All similarities are purely coincidental!

Let me tell you a little story I made up this morning.

So, the day has finally come. The Boss approaches you and has asked you to be one of their most trusted aids. They hand you a card for a tailors in New York who are the only people in the world who can do Slanty Suits.

You are strutting around town in this suit, people look up to you as after all, you are the man who can. The most trusted aid to a Don of this world. You have done everything that your boss has asked of you for the day and you go down to the bar. People shake your hand and buy you drinks all night. Your head spins and you think perhaps it's time you staggered off home.

You remember very little from the night before. Your head is fuzzy. You remember the sound of a few gun shots in the night but you thought it was a few bums being shot in their sleep. You wander down to the HQ in search of coffee when you hear the other Don of our world, Alexia, explaining why they took down Arnold_Rimmer (smeghead).

You listen to her reasons and you feel the anger boil up inside you. You will go to your boss and demand that this is sorted out. surely it is bullshit? why kill these new peope? But wait, what is this? Your boss stands up beside Alexia and explains the reasons for her involvement in this takedown. Well, Now you feel the anger burst from you. You storm to the front of the crowd and start questioning your crewleaders decision.

Well, isn't that just wrong? One of a crewleaders trusted hands are standing up and questioning them in public. My God, I know if I did that I'd be shot in the head several times. But now it seems that loyalty to our crewleaders is on a downward curve more than ever. I could sort of accept it from a nobody Gangster but from a trusted hand of a family? No, just no.

In a takedown a few weeks ago I was in the streets saying that loyalty to leaders is falling by the wayside and people seem to have lost the principles we used to live by. Surely what your leader decides to do should be supported 100%? especially by those in the upper echelon of the structure?

Does this not lead to the lower members of the crew feeling like they can question their leader and even disobey them?

Obviously, this is all a work of fiction but the messages within it are very true. I worry for the principles and loyalty we rely on in this world, I really do.

Report Post Tip
My favourite read in the six cities. Not that I'd ever admit that, of course.
Report Post Tip
In response to the article submitted anonymously about Sc0pe_D0pe, I was approached at the coffeeshops by a member of his bloodline, Asylum, who wanted me to pass on a message of sorts in the next issue of the Bloody Tissue, or whenever I dropped into the Streets again.

To paraphrase Asylum's comments, he maintains Sc0pe_D0pe never accused anyone of using performance enhancing drugs (scripts) and was himself tested three times in one day. He also claims the hit on Chuckie that Scope_D0pe bought off was in fact done after Chuckie's death, an occurrence I personally thought to be a physical impossibility.

Make of that what you will.

Bring on the tang!
