Its 12:15pm on a cold November night, A young man and woman are dancing down the streets of New Jersey "Who are these people?" I hear you ask. Well the young man was a stern, six footer who wore a purple suit and white loafers, finished off with a purple hat and black feather hanging out on the side. The girl, a shorter, elegant being, who gracefully wore a white dress with a new pair of shoes. Seeing these two walk down the high street could only mean one thing... It was the eve of Kendra's and Clipper's annual shopping spree. This shopping spree was defined by Clippers ability to earn the money and Kendras ability to spend it. After a night full of drink, conversation, and laughter, Clipper struggled to walk down the ever increasing set of stairs. He was greeted by a wide smiling and cheerful Kendra. Feeling slightly sheepish and less of a man, Clipper sits down at the kitchen table to an expected breakfast. "What do you think you're doing Mister?!?" Kendra exclaimed. "Errrmmmm.....errrr....I was....ummm..." Clipper finds it hard to say anything as Kendra's face is turning a bright shade of purple. Thinking it might be wise to let Kendra have her own way, he says nothing. As Clipper was led out of the house by Kendra's arm, he noticed that she was as happy as ever. This made Clipper smile as he and Kendra joyfully walked out of the front gate. From walking down the quiet suburban road to the hustle and bustle of New York, Kendra would not shut up about how she wanted pink, purple, white. Clippers head started to spin as she demanded every colour of shoes she could think of. At this moment of time, Clipper was trying to think of a nice hearty English breakfast to take his mind off the fact he was walking around with a shopping obsessed women, and whats worse was that he had to do so on a empty stomach. Finally, after hours of complaining by a now irritated Clipper, Kendra gave in and let them have a bite to eat and pop open a bottle of bubbly before they got down to the nitty-gritty. How nice it was as well. A light, crisp salad for the lady and a hearty steak sandwich for the man. After paying the bill, Clipper and Kendra walked out of the restaurant. After deciding that he didn't have anywhere near enough money for the shopping trip, Kendra was in hot pursuit of the nearest bank. Walking through two sets of glass doors, Kendra caught the eye of a slightly balding, fat man in a blue and white striped shirt. With a certain gleam in her eye, and a hop to her step, Kendra walked up to the desk. "This man will be withdrawing all his money please." As the man looked in the direction of Clipper, he was greeted by a sullen nod of the head. "Right away Sir!" To say that Clipper was feeling slightly under the weather would be a understatement. All his hard earned money for the month drawn out in under five minutes. Oblivious to Clippers disheartened behavior, Kendra was already discussing to herself which shops she would be going to. As per usual, Kendra was getting her own way. Just before they headed out the door, Kendra linked arms with Clipper and gave him what can only be described as a half flirting, half thank you wink. By this time, Clipper had given up all hope of seeing his money again, and now settled on the minimal amount of shops he would have to enter. Of course Kendra didn't know the meaning of 'minimal shopping'. Clipper was dragging his feet as Kendra was buying a pair of shoes from each shop. A non ending journey of shop entrances was firmly fixed in Clippers short term memory. By six pm, Kendra had spent almost all of Clippers money. Whilst silently counting the notes left in her purse, Kendra realized she had enough to buy one more pair but could not decide which ones to get. After increasing bouts of tapping his feet and clock watching, Clipper went upto Kendra, took the shoes and placed them on the shop counter. After a slight pout, Kendra paid the female assistant and happily walked out of the shop with Clipper lagging behind with twelve bags in his hands. As the two walked out the shop, they searched the streets for any mode of transport home. After looking both ways, Kendra decided that the best way would be to walk back. Clipper looked up in the sky, cursed the clouds, the sun, every single bird in the sky and started to walk beside Kendra. After what seemed like hours, Clipper stumbled into the house and was greeted by the usual gang. Kendra took a glass of wine off the servant and joined in with the socializing. Everyone looked at Clipper as he was sweating cobs and looked like he had just walked a marathon. "Well what the Devil has happened to you Clipper old chap?!" Clipper simply fobbed off the man and trundled up the stairs to bed, silently swearing to himself that he would never take Kendra shopping again. |

Very good stuff. Sounds like I wouldn't want to be caught dead shopping with Kendra. Goes to find a nice place to hide his wallet. |

Marietta approaches and raises an eyebrow at the story that was told. ...Not bad, not bad. You make this Kendra woman sound like a bitch, though. Poor gal. I should find her and make her brownies or something else as equally yummy. |
