Pretty much as the title states. 

The best means currently of chatting for families rather than just individual crew within the game/via lounge is using H or #DT (in our case).

Unsponsored players also have access to this chat making it a public broadcast rather than a sponsored player one.

This chat should be restricted to only those people who are sponsored by one of the crewleaders within that city. 

"L" chat is Local, which would be a better place for unsponsored players to be able to attend.

Would still be very interested in this being modified.

Would also like the option to have a "family chat", where everyone who is linked to one family can have a tab on their game and a lounge room that they join like their crew chat. Is this something which could be added? I tried setting the crew channel in my profile the same as another leader but that didn't do anything. 

Sounds like a good idea.

Good, though I think it'd be easier to talk among the #Leaders, and make their own channel for it, like how we do with events.

No channel you can create will appear in the game, DeadRabbit, so it would only be accessible if you were on lounge. 

I mean yeah, I thought you were talking about Lounge, but can't we make a Contact group and mob mail the contact group? I do like your idea but im just thinking of ways we can implement it, DetroitSimon.

I don't think the change request would require a huge amount of code work & the suggestion gets a +1 from me. If you desire to be a part of a city chat, join a crew in that city.

I'm surprised this wasn't implemented yet.

Not sure I agree since there is no L in Lounge chat, it is just home city chat. Not everyone likes to use the IG chat over lounge.
