| Property Bribes - Prepare Yourselves | Started by: Squishy on Jan 15, '26 00:00 |

Now that we have drug dealers and NPC traffic a lot more dialed in and enough self sustaining traffic patterns that it can operate on its own, we are going to start turning on different aspects of the properties. Like DFPs, you bribe officials to 'look the other way'. Properties run a 30 day bribe schedule, every time you press it, it resets it to 30 days left at the cost of 10k. (About a petty a day per property) When you run out of bribe time, your uncollected income is seized, property is demolished, and sent back into the pool under the new ownership of the mayor. If you run the perk "DFP Stacking" perk that was activated before Feb 14th 2026, we will add an additional 24h window to pay full retail to get your property (as well as upgrades and uncollected income) back after seizure, otherwise after 24h its now in owned by the mayor and will end up back in the pool. As of now, bribing is done manually by clicking the Bribe button and a confirmation click on the property management page. This sets the bribe countdown time to 30 days.Until it is fully battle tested, bribe are done on an individual basis, with a Bribe All being added shortly thereafter. There are no notifications of when your bribe time is getting low, or that the property is being seized outside of the page. You are responsible to stay on top of this on your own. DFP Stacking will give you a heads up that it was seized and that you have 24h to regrab it if you want. |

can we get persoanls when we collect from properties? and maybe a personal for when we bribe the property too? the first request is just more from a financial aspect in the same way we get personals from when we vote. just some "nice to haves" |

Properties are an investment, remember you keep them through death and into your next character as long as you keep them bribed. I just collected 43 million from my properties and they aren't even fully operational yet. Yes it takes awhile to recoup the initial cost but that's like any investment. Once you recoup that initial cost its pure profit that takes only a few minutes to maintain. |

you won’t receive any notifications when the time to bribe is running low or if it runs out, you’ll just lose the property entirely. It’s generally up to you to keep track of it.
you can set your tax rate to whatever you want, but generally a low tax results in higher visits. if a dealer visits and stays at your property every like 0.1% tax increase runs a check to see if you pushed them too far or if they don’t mind and stay
they’re still a WIP anyways but they can earn some decent money in the long run |
