Sponsorship Changes
When a CL sets you to become a sponsor the places significant burdens upon both parties. You should have the option to accept this task or to decline it. 2. Automatically toggle sponsorship "on" upon login or at least retain what you set it to prior to logout If you accept this responsibility, your sponsorship button should stay on until it gets switched off for no contact or by you toggling it off. This should reduce the number of unintentional toggle offs, and result in more recruitment opportunities and less unsponsored players. 3. Send the #associates MRBot message to sponsors in the game A lot of users no longer play the game via a PC and/or are not always on Lounge.
If you were one of the 5 sponsors online, you should get a notification saying there is a potential associate seeking sponsorship and you aren't toggled on. This should prompt them to toggle on and contact the associate. This should result in more recruitment opportunities and less unsponsored players. If you were one of the 2 toggled on, you should get a notification saying there is a potential associate seeking sponsorship but your crew doesn't have jobs up on the job board. This should prompt them to contact their leader/RHM/LHM to ascertain why, which should remedy the problem and result in more recruitment opportunities and less unsponsored players. But also... 4. Allow sponsors the ability to access the job board fund The requirements for a crew having jobs listed on the board are:
In the situation above where 2 were toggled on but couldn't contact the associate, this can only be for 3/4 reasons above and is most likely the first that the balance in the account is too low. The sponsor should have the ability to add balance to the job account to keep jobs on the board, should result in more recruitment opportunities and less unsponsored players. 5. Lower rank requirement to be a sponsor/suspend Rebuild when accounts are too low ranked to be a sponsor Sponsorship places a burden upon both parties. If a leader feels someone is capable of that burden they should be able to designate a member as a sponsor regardless of their rank if restricted by minimum times. Alternatively allow whomever to issue the sponsorship on behalf of the leader/Wise Guy sponsors if they cannot be a sponsor themselves. -------------------------- Those are my initial thoughts on how we can try to make sponsorship more effective. I think conveying the #associate message in game to those eligible would be a big improvement and coupled with the ability of a sponsor to rectify why they have no jobs, may help reduce the number of no contacts. |

for #1 cant you just keep sponsor toggled off?
can i also add we should reward sponsors who are online when nobody else is on to sponsor?
reward for the 1 person who has it toggled on would incentivize more people to be aware of when its toggled on/off |

I would argue that not being in Rebuild Mode ought to be sufficient incentive for people who are sponsors to be toggled on whenever they're online. I appreciate it isn't an easy thing and the responsibility of being a sponsor requires the ability to communicate effectively and honestly, however the continued availability of the game to continue unimpeded by HQ destructions, lack of Lounge content, etc. should be reward enough in my opinion. |

That's why it only one person has it enabled they should be rewarded, because sometimes only one person having it enabled still isn't enough to avoid rebuild mode |

If we’re being completely honest, rebuild is a shambles in itself anyway. It’s not as if advertising is on and there’s a huge influx of players. It feels like rebuild is some type of measurement for a successful or unsuccessful regime. The fact is, it’s increasingly difficult to set up and people don’t want to be crew leaders because of that. Current leaders are punished because of this fact, forts are hammered, rogues etc turned off. It needs to be reviewed if we’re really being honest. |

Any thoughts on more formal rewards for sponsor activity? As a CL I'd love to be able to reward my members the input (jobs board coverage), rather than just the output (members recruited) as the infamous 2-6am shift rarely reaps rewards in terms of actual players recruited. Currently we get hustle points, credits, lottery entries etc for things like street activity, lounge activity and crew RAT participation. Could we have the same for jobs board coverage? These rewards/ league tables could pop up in #Main or could show on the Rebuild page? Or even just in our own crew management page - see which of our sponsors actually toggled on for how long or for which hours - that way even if the game didn't reward my members I could. |

BuddyBigPaw rewards could just mirror the rewards for vip posting in the streets (lottery tickets, credits, etc.) the system is already implemented and would be IMO the easiest to rollout. even if we got something saying "xxx has had their sponsonsor flag disabled/toggled off" as a notification or an event in the sponsor page that could help aswell. |
