Robert Duvall was excellent as Tom Hagen, which just about anyone playing this game should be well aware of. But he was excellent in so many movies, in roles big or small. He was a great lead cowboy in sweeping western epics like Lonesome Dove and Open Range. He gave weight to  popcorn flicks like Days of Thunder and Gone in 60 Seconds. He even stood toe to toe with Will Ferrell in a comedic turn in Kicking and Screaming. I was saddened to hear the news, though he lived a long and seemingly full life. I intend to celebrate him by revisiting some of my favorites among his roles this week, and I'll raise my glass to him. Rest well, Mr. Duvall. 

I was a fan of Robert Duvall and watched many movies he starred in.I still do.Sad to see him go.He was one of the last good ones that were left.RIP!

the sheer amount of movies he was in and the amount of quality movies he put out or played a role in was massive. another great one gone

Man, I loved Duvall in ze Godfather, sad that he was gone in the 3rd or something but I really liked the way he was acting probably some other movies as well that I watched but can't recall the name

Rest in peace Robert as you will be missed by many including me. Your movies were brilliant and love watching them over again when there is nothing much on during my nights off
