Aside from the classics, I can say I absolutely enjoyed The Last Samurai, The Dark Knight and A Few Good Men.

All time favorite for me is The Count of Monte Cristo (the first one or the remake...)

Lord of the Rings! Anybody?

Fuck Lord of the rings, while it had some moments of greatness like the battle at helms deep, Randall in clerks 2 summed it up best, 3 movies where you watch some overly gay characters follow an old man.

Anyway as to the topic great movies to watch, Star Wars IV, V and to a lesser extent VI, La Confidential, The Usual Suspects, the Tim Burton Batman( while Nolans reboot is awesome, Jack Nicholson is in my opinion still the defining Joker. Yojimbo is an absolute classic along with Sanjuro. Keeping with the old theme Cross of Iron is a great depiction of ordinary German troops during WW2.

INK its a low budget film and it starts slow but its a good movie if you watch it all the way through with a good twist
