As The Pig Sees It Started by: FlyingPig on Jul 27, '08 01:41
Flying Pig steps out of his mansion to impart yet another gem of insight unto the plebians in the streets.

Well, it has been a long time since we have done this. For this, I apologize. Truth be told, I had considered giving up on my part-time duties as philosopher and instructor of mafia wisdom, but a few recent comments by a beady-eyed fucktard have inspired me to appear before you all once again.

These comments I am referring to...suggested that my bloodline is now irrelevant and that I am inferior in the art of being a hitman. Apparently, there is a new wave of genetically enhanced, superhuman hitmen who are putting this old pig to shame.

chuckles...

For the time being, I will ignore the lack of credibility of the source of these allegations, not to mention the sheer ignorance, and instead address the question that is begged by the premise.

What exactly makes someone a "good hitman"

If we are to base our conclusion on the insinuations of my retarded little friend, a good hitman is someone who is the fastest to run up to some sleeping bum and blast him in the face. He may even be aided by such supernatural or futuristic devices as rocket-powered rollerskates and weapons which fire many rounds per second.

Is THIS a good hitman? Is this the person you would entrust with the safety of your family? With the very life of your Boss and your brethren? I scoff at such a simplistic conclusion. A person can be all of those things, and yet be horrible in the defense of his family. He might put selfish desires above the welfare of the entire family. He might make poor decisions which jeopardize his own life and that of his Boss. Some of those futuristic gadgets could incur the wrath of the Gods. He could lack patience in his trade, and be tempted by taboo conduct. Any of these things will result in a dead hitman, and a dead hitman is of no use to his family.

However, the slow old tortoise might use his head a little bit better than the man on the rocket powered rollerskates. He might get half as many kills each day, but live three times as long of a life. He might use good judgment and escape punishment. He might earn the respect and trust of those around him, thus creating a positive reflection on his family. Maybe he has skills in strategic warfare that cannot be easily learned. Perhaps he is excellent with his organizational skills, which are of great use in managing a team of hitmen. He could be extremely loyal, leaving no shadow of a doubt in his Bosses' mind that he can be trusted, and giving other leaders a sense of satisfaction in knowing that this particular hitman will not stray from his family and begin shooting everything in sight. He might willingly put his own life on the line if it ensures the survival of his Boss.

None of those things have anything to do with being fast. They ALL, however, help to ensure a long life and the survival of the family. The survival of the family is the sole reason we have hitmen among us. And just to address the beady-eyed retards who think only about the quantity of kills, a long life will also help increase the notches on the butt of your gun.

So what is a hitman?

A hitman is a protector and enforcer of the family. He puts his own life on the line to protect his family from enemies, and deals out punishment to those who have betrayed the family.

A hitman is the most trusted of family members. He possesses the ultimate power - to take life. Such power can only be allowed in the hands of the trusted. You will know if you are one of these trusted mafiosi if you live a long life. If you are someone cannot seem to live to reach the rank of Mademan, you are not trusted and you are not a true hitman.

A hitman thinks nothing of his own personal desires. The family always comes first. In a crude sense, a hitman is a human shield. When the shit hits the fan, they have the biggest targets on their backs and step right into the line of fire. The orders from above to seek safe shelter do not apply to them.

A hitman is the most loyal of all family members. He works very hard for one purpose and one purpose only - to die defending the family. A hitman is never an innocent casualty of war. Even the lowest ranked hitmen are necessary targets.

A hitman uses his wits, not just his gun. Superior firepower does not always win a war. Superior strategic planning comes out ahead everytime.

A hitman is alert. He is constantly aware of everything that is going on around him. He notices little things. Odd tones of speech. Unusual behaviors in other people. Anything that might warn of an imminent threat. A hitman does not have the luxury of careless strolling around without paying attention to his surroundings.

Realizes that the listeners probably get the point, and takes a deep breath before summarizing his lecture

So, ask yourself, do you have a team of hitmen in your HQ? Are YOU a real hitman? Or are you a retard with a gun who only wants to kill as many as possible before dying a death that is attributable to your own stupid mistakes? And maybe getting your Boss killed too, as a result of your foolishness?

Thinks for a moment that maybe he should invest in a pair of rocket-powered rollerskates

Naahhhhh...fuck it. These old loafers are treating me just fine. And I dare anyone to say that I'm not a real hitman.

FlyingPig. Too long have these shores been absent of your tidbits of wisdom, and what a way to kick it off i may add.

There isn't much one can add to this collection of thoughts. You hit the nail right on the head like usual. It is sad to see some of the promising talent being led astray by these self proclaimed hit-men who think nothing more then of the blood that they spill.

Hopefully you words will ring true in the ears of the many little beedy eyed fucktards with guns that we have running around and maybe just maybe if we are lucky we will see a change.

A good lesson like always and a great insight into the one they call The Flying Pig.

When I look back at your lineage, I see all great hitmen. You've never been blessed with the quick draw fancy shmancy holsters that some of todays kids have, but yet, each of your fathers died at the top of their game, with one hell of a gun and the skill to match - and died with even their enemies respecting them.

The trigger happy kids now with their quick draw holsters definitely do get more kills on a per day basis, but you are totally right in what you said. When all is said and done, they die too early - normally in result of their lack of mental skill to match their motor skill - or they live, but never really truly are respected as the go-to guy that your lineage has always been.

P.S. - This may be a moot point, but I only know of your history because I've read the history books that are kept in the God's offices, not that I've seen you bragging in coffee shops or streets of you records. I don't think you or anyone from your lineage has been a braggart about your skills. That is another kind of difference. The strong silent type, or the flashy EVERYONE LOOK AT ME - Success! type.

I think the title of this thread should be changed to *As anyone who has abit of common sence sees it*

To long now has these steets been infested with trigger happy teens with waaaay to much testosterone and the old saying of the wackgasam, I can only hope that the gods decide to nuter the select few who feel the need to abuse the system to band it to favour more in there odds.

I have been around these streets way more then I like to admit and have seen so many hitters come and go but Pig is right in the sence of how many of them get rememberd I could name a bunch now but I wouldnt want to bring hitters names to the streets, I have been raised better than that, but the kids today come and go like a case of bad wind and to be quite honest although they think they have the ultimate gun they get no where but taking a swim with the fishes all the time.

I hope theres change around here from all of this I really do.

I appears that there's changes afoot. The Gods have spoken, and those rocket powered roller skates and automatic weapons are soon to be a thing of the past. I wonder how well this generation of super-fast hitters will fare when we're all on a level playing field?

Power is often gained, and maintained from the barrel of a gun. It has always been this way. Is it me, or has there been a slight shift of late? Is diplomacy once again rearing it's head? I feel like the tactical and mental aspects of our life are taking more of a front seat at the moment to those motor skills required to train your aim. How will our chemically enhanced friends get on when pure speed to a hobo is not enough to get to the top of their game? When the bosses are looking for smarts, not just skills.

Don't get me wrong, there will always be a need for strong Hitmen with many kills under their belts, I just feel like there's a shift in the leaders desires, they want more true Hitmen, and less trigger happy morons in their families... and I have to say I like it.

A hitman is someone who makes an impact with 3 things. His gun, his influence, and his mind. But the most 2 important features of a hitman are his influence and his mind. The gun--well, if that was absolutely necessary, then no CL on highly defensive orders would stand much of a chance. But with influence, other guns muster and a Def CL can have a truly impressive family.

FlyingPig, as per my longtime understanding, is most likely the most knowledgeable mafioso in our world and he most definitely pulls influence with the bigwigs and... one more thing.... he still does know how to kill. I'm not breaking omerta here to say that FP at any rank is extremely deadly, especially when hooked up with the right people.

In a war, I would put my life in FPs hands before anybody else in the mob. And although I'm not what I once was myself (who of us old-timers are?) I still place my life in his hands. What more can be said about the importance of a mafioso? How many of you can say that long-term bloodlines will entrust themselves to you with no qualms whatsoever?

If you can't make that claim, then perhaps you might consider not shooting your lips off? Just a suggestion.

I think one of the most important aspects of being a hitman is being prepared to die.

In a war situation you are targeted, along with your leader, because you can cause all sorts of damage to the other leaders family. Many hitters around here do not seem to accept that as a Hit Squad member you must place yourself in danger to protect your family.(Mind, most members don't agree with that fact either)

If you are not prepared to die by the gun then do not wield it so freely. Very rarely will you see hitters live through wars.

For me, I believe that all the guns shops in the six cities should be closed, all guns stripped from members of every crime family and only a leader can hand you your gun. Obviously it is open to abuse but I think it will become quite clear who is abusing this and who is not. When that happens it is up to the other leaders to make their choice. Also, before you barrack me by asking what happens to those who wish to take down the families and set up as a rogue? Be smart, work harder and don't be half arsed.

P.S I thought I had seen the last one of these fucking posters a long time ago. *Shakes fist at FP*

Well said Pig, I agree with what you're saying. It's all very well racking up the kills, but come war time, being a hitman has little to do with the speed of your draw and everything to do with planning, control and execution, if you pardon the pun.

As the main form of family protection, it's imperative that any aspiring hitman be in complete control of their actions, that involves containing the blood lust at war time. One rash decision can mean death and, as has been said, a dead hitman is no use to anyone.

Save your cash on the rocket powered rollerskate front, they're so last season!

Mr Pig I have often listened to you and often agreed with you.

this time is no different, I just hope your words are heeded and times in the future change because of it.

I look forward to hearing another speech soon.

Even though I believe you are out to kill the whole world, I would say your one of the respected hitmen in my eyes. You understand the concept and ways of our world and you live everyday in our world by them from what I have seen.

Even though you did start a campaign to kill my father....Squints his eyes at FP and smiles

A very interesting read from a veteran. There is definately no point in being an amazing hitter if you go around for yourself and shoot who you like. If you go around showing off the second a war happens everyone will know your the big threat and even if you aren't the best hitter they will still probably think you are. Unfortunately most the great hitters I knew didn't have the best defence.

Incidentally mr flying pig sir

"He might get half as many kills each day, but live three times as long of a life" - so if I shoot like none a day and like one a month how long do i need to be alive to be better than the speedy one? :)
Report Post Tip
About five years. Hey, it's possible. O_o

The problem that I see quite often is that some of the young punks develope a bloodlust, and are not satisfied with any less than everything. They will bend rules, those made by both man and God, in order to get one extra kill. However, even someone who flies straight and gets one kill per day, and lives a little over three months, has 100 kills to their credit. Living three months is something that most of these fucktards cannot comprehend.
