Enricho had gone to the casino penthouse to deal with some loose ends. Part of him believed he was moved around crews for his own safety. It keeps circling his thoughts that Gneiss and Kiel saw this coming. DetroitSimon always chose to show distrust to the Glorious GodFather Gneiss. Enricho cant help but think that saved Mr. Simon's own skin. Mr. Simon is truly loyal beneath his misdirection, Enricho is sure of this. Mr. Simon was who his bloodline first came to after TruceFather fell. Moving away from the more grim thoughts of losing two of the best known legends of Vegas, Enricho started to recount the fortitude of Shaggs the Incredible and the Magnificent Soseki. He had been quested with protection. Enricho Spent a long while in LA being extra protection for their allies. Enricho realized the strategic upper hand this gives his family; it secures the west coast. The strategic prowess of Shaggs and Soseki is outmatched! Enricho thought to himself, keeping silence in the air. He has no exclamations he wants the world to hear today. In all of the commotion, Enricho seems to be building his own legacy. "Congrats on the promotion to Boss, Enricho!" Shaggs had extended his hand upon Enricho's return to Vegas. Taken by surprise, The Great Enricho rejoiced by this news. He is surely making his ancestors happy. His bloodline will be remembered, but will it be in a light of a legend like the Glorious Gneiss or Kiel? Surely he could grow along side the legends of Shaggs, DetroitSimon, and his mentor, Soseki! Perhaps... Enricho thought to himself having lost what was left of his energy and falling asleep in one of the chairs that peer out of the windows of the penthouse. |

Las Vegas is the City of Legends. You cannot kill a legend. While death may have taken Godfathers Kiel and Gah-neece, their legacies live on within all of us, as demonstrated by the loyalty and admiration shown here as well as with the tenacity shown by The Watcher and others during the recent skirmish. New icons will rise up. TextBasedMafiaRPGMan will step into the shoes of Kiel, eventually carrying his 95th drug unit approximately four years from now. Detroit Simon will continue to do whatever it is he does, really well. Might their be an iconic Enricho in the near future? I think so. And me? I'll be around to yell at people when the situation calls for it, really well. We lost great men but their legacies live on. The future looks excellent. |

Start planning the parade, Dick. My 95th unit is going to hit this town like a hydrogen bomb. They're going to need the worlds best semioticians to build guidelines sun-burned, illiterate, neo-neanderthals can follow to rebuild society after the riots caused by my 95th unit send civilization back into the stone age. We'll likely be on our 5th or 6th Simon by then, each one more ugly and inbred than the last, snorting and coughing uncontrollably as he hands me the key to the city. It will be a day of days, the unit that shook the world, and it will happen in Las Vegas. |

Semioticians, DetroitSimon . Pretty sure it just means people who sell monocles. I agree EnrichoLives , it was very tough to lose two legendary Godfathers in one day but this is an excellent tribute to them. Your ability to capture the mood of Las Vegas is truly outmatched and I have no doubt your own legend will grow over time. |

Enricho had been taking on jobs all month. The Magnificent Soseki felt a troubled air over him believing a curse had fallen upon him. Enricho and Soseki were trying to run a few jobs so Enricho could learn the ropes a little better, but failure after failure brought their spirits low. Shaggs the Incredible even poked fun at Soseki's belief that a curse had fallen upon him due to a few failed jobs they took on together. After a few beers Enricho and Soseki decided they should join others instead of running solo. Might be a better way to understand how things work. After a few failures with Mr. Simon, the belief of a curse grew. By the end of the week, Enricho believed whole heartedly that this supposed curse did not exist and there had to have been tip offs to the guards when ever they went on a job. These damned guards should know better! As Enricho thought to himself, he pulled his getaway car out of the storage shed behind the head quarters to swap the tags and repaint it. A nice silver wouldn't draw too much attention, eh? As Enricho continued to think about the new paint job DetroitSimon walked over to offer him to hop on a job. "The Great Enricho doesn't bribe the guards!" Enricho proclaimed. With a raised eyebrow from having not asked, Mr. Simon responded by asking what it is Enricho would be doing. Acting as though he's revealing a secret opening his arms to display his car, "I am the get away driver, of course!" "Did you leave Soseki behind?" DetroitSimon asked as he needed Soseki for part of the job. Everyone knew Enricho is the fasted driver in the west but they otherwise didn't share what exactly they did for the jobs. Safer that way. Can't tell someone what you don't know. As Soseki walked outside to join, Enricho proclaimed even more ferociously than his last, "The Great Enricho never leaves a man behind!" "Good then, we're off!" Mr. Simon hopped into the car and waved Enricho and Soseki in almost seeming impatient.
Success
Enricho quickly pulled into an art gallery, "We're going for a two in one special, Sose!" Enricho proclaimed with a confidence that could shatter a king.
Success
As Enricho pulled swiftly back into the shed, he finally had a second to address this fabled curse: "I told you, Soseki! The Great Enricho never believed you were cursed!" Continuing into the weekend, they solidified this fact with success after success. Even if there were a couple failures mixed in.
"To the Magnificent Soseki!" |

As the month comes to a close, Enricho takes note of a rising star, maybe a soon to be legend in Los Vegas. Durdens have been on the rise the past couple weeks. Enricho is still training his guards to be able to take a punch, such wimps they were at the start. LonelyWolf took up the reigns! We find Enricho reminiscing: "The Great Enricho can barely take on a couple of these foul beasts with you lot!" Enricho was exclaiming this just outside of the durden camp. Pacing back and forth trying to contemplate a way to wipe them out, annoyed that his guards would trip over their own shoelaces while they're tied. LonelyWolf came from out of nowhere with his guards. They hopped the makeshift fence the durdens made to look legit in their tent made head quarters. Bang Bang Bang Gunshots let off and with what seemed like only milliseconds passing, LonelyWolf kicked down the gate that wasn't even attached to it's makeshift fencing. With a wink, he and his guards hopped into a truck that had quietly pulled up and he was off. Enricho was left in an amazement he didn't expect to find in such a young man in the game with a talent like that. "Why can't you lot make it happen like that?! The Great Enricho cannot settle for this debauchery! I'm getting your asses into shape! If you die, good riddance!" Enricho's rage hit his guards like a ton of bricks. Ever since that day, they've spent every possible moment training to become the guard The Great Enricho could respect. Enricho took note of the exquisite nature of LonelyWolf's raid of the durden camp, "That is surely a legend in the making, The Great Enricho STRIVES to even compare to that grandeur!" |

The Incredible Shaggs eyed Enricho from across the meeting hall of the HQ. Everyone was crowding Enricho welcoming him back and exclaiming their feelings of care towards his time spent missing. In all of the commotion, Enricho periodically looked back to Shaggs. His firm posture and calculating look didn't worry Enricho, but as the commotion started to die off, he knew Shaggs would press him about where he was and what had happened in the time away. Usually these situations are handled by a harbor with only the closest hand to the leader. In special cases, a Godfather-Chairman may step in to listen, casting a final judgement. Enricho has never seen a man return from one of those meetings, they almost always get "let go" from the family, but Rogue had caught up with him and said Shaggs was awaiting his return, handing Enricho the letters of release from Rogue's crew where Enricho had been placed in his absence. Enricho's mind wandered back to one of the few moments he could remember. Muffled voices from beyond a closed door after getting a fresh crack across the head with a baton, "He's... Connections with every... Godfathers?!?! .... Just friends?! ... This man has to run..!.." Still trying to piece together his memories from that time, Enricho started to realize the fed believed HE ran the show. Enricho recieved a firm grasp to his shoulder snapping him back to the commotion of his return with a quick thought to the idea: Why would I want warring families if I controlled them all? Enricho looked back to where Shaggs had sat, his now empty chair made Enricho spare a second of nervous tension before turning back to his friends. Even people from across the country came to see him. Enricho started to understand how someone could find the wrong impression of him, but to run EVERYTHING? Enricho couldn't even run a trucking raid successfully. Shaggs didn't return to the HQ that night, nor did he hail a meeting with Enricho. As he found his way back to his apartment, Enricho stared off into the stars before entering. "The Great Enricho has returned!" Enricho found that he felt his self proclaimed title had fulfilled itself with the welcoming committee he was given. __ The next day, Enricho felt the need to prove his worth to the family the moment he awoke. After a failed correspondence with KingsleyShacklebolt and the subsequent apologies that followed, Enricho took a chance. He went into Shaggs' office. "Care to ponder some art with me, good sir?" Enricho approached Shaggs in his usual confident demeanor. Shaggs didn't respond, only grabbed his hat and motioned Enricho to lead. In the silent car ride to the art gallery, Enricho broke the silence for the important point, "they only found out there are godfathers from a court case where a jorur ran their mouth." Shaggs nodded his head slowly still focusing on the road ahead. As they pulled into the parking lot, Enricho spoke once more, "I think they believed I was in control of everything until they found that out." As they walked around the gallery and took the time to enjoy some pieces, Shaggs tipped his hat towards two pieces that were next to each other. He took a measured step towards the curator and the guards to walk them away from the pieces he wanted. Enricho quickly sprung at the opportunity The Incredible Shaggs just opened up for him. Two pieces, huh? That's one way to tell me I need to rebuild our trust. Enricho thought to himself, smiling at the challenge he'd just been given. He knew full well he would have to rebuild himself within The Incredible Shaggs' crew. He could feel his own legend last night, but the next few months will surely prove his position. Shaggs rounded back to the car after his delightful conversation with the curator. Enricho didn't even mention the second painting he was given the challenge of getting. Rounding back to the HQ after a quiet ride, Shaggs took his cut of the one painting they sold and took the other with him. There was no mention of what he wanted it for, but Enricho knew Shaggs would likely keep it for his collection. |
