Stepping out of his HQ surrounded by bodyguards Lancelot made his way to the streets a troubled look on his weary face, glancing over his shoulder every two minutes as he walked, this is no way to live he thought to himself we were meant to be organised.

I have just come from a very important meeting with the acting Godfather of New York Don Marston i will not go into to much detail about what was said but it seems we have a Rat "A PERSON REGARDED AS DESPICABLE, A MAN WHO HAS BEEN DECEITFUL OR DISLOYAL" or to put it bluntly "AN INFORMER", here in New York we do not tolerate such people and they have absolutely no place in our organisation.

A week or so ago we planned to go to war with the then tenants of New York Carlo_Maldini and co, we planned thoroughly and discreetly or so we thought, however it was soon brought to our attention that Pro shots were being taken we had a leak somewhere, we continued with our plans all the same and attacked, fortunantly the leak hadn't hindered our plans too much. Soon after the war had finished and the dust settled we recieved some very interesting information, the RAT had been sloppy and in turn was ratted out himself, poetic justice you may call it, who was this Rat i hear you ask?

Benji-Veniamin

This was a man i classed as a friend and loyal crew member, but it seems his family and city came second best to his other friends, his actions put his family and city in unessasary danger he chose to put my life on the line and those of the people that housed and protected him.

You will now find him swimming with the fishes but before he was killed he was stripped of his rank and kicked out of New York for good, we will not and have never tolerated RATS, if you come to NY and we find out you are a rat you will wish you were dead, let Benji's fate be a lesson to you all, WE ARE THE MAFIA NOT A FUCKIN GENTLEMANS CLUB!

Sadly we live in a world where people have difficulty seperating friends and family and this is where we watch for those and their motives(stirring between cities, underground movements, etc) especially when so many of peoples family members and associates heads are on the line and large sums of money.  In a time when violence can rise from simple words one rat can be as dangerous as the g-men everywhere.

I wasn’t surprised to hear about a leak. Private information often has a way of drifting into ears and out of mouths with no filter in between. Things rarely surprise me in this thing of ours, but when I found out who the rat was I was completely flabbergasted. I can not express how disappointed I was by Benji-Veniamin’s act of betrayal. It felt like Lancelot and I were spit on. To be betrayed by a member of the family is bad enough. It was even worse in this case because Benji was a friend of ours, a person we talked to every day. I knew there were certain people in our city he didn’t like. For those of us he was friends with his loose lips stabbed us in the back and our hearts.  

A lot of our business is conducted behind closed doors. I’m glad to see this brought out to the streets. Traitors deserve no discretion. I hope by making this public it will make people think twice about being more loyal to friends than family. Being in the mafia means you put family first. You don’t run your fucking mouth to your friends about family business.

Warped hears the news and unfortunately is not shocked by this. She has seen journals and news reports of other occurrences of the same thing from this bloodline. She heard her grandmother laugh on several occasions while telling others of the stories Benji and his ancestors told. Her family was not brought to this thing of ours by his bloodline nor was he the one who took in this family and taught them how to find their way. Warped fondly remembers Crimzon, Mascarano, and BugsBunny having dinner with them and advising the family and taking her for icecream.

I would say this is the end of Benji and his bloodline playing both sides of the fence. This bloodline is nothing but a disgrace, making a mockery of Omerta at every turn. They have betrayed their families and cities. They have time and again ratted people out and did whatever it took to be a hand or bold. Will his kin learn from this? I for one will not be taking the chance. The apple rarely falls far from the tree.

Well I must say benji's grandfather and father made some mistakes that had their lives ending short but this tops it loyalty and omertà are the biggest things that should be followed in this thing of ours but with Benjie betraying his family and ultimately put not only his life but his whole cities he really tainted the futures of his sons grandsons and so forth 

As sneaker pointed out and I completely agree with can he truly ever be trusted again i completely agree and am not sure if he ever can being a snitch is something that will taint your rep forever 

This is something that completely is a disgrace to this thing of ours and people who betray their family are not needed in this life a man without honor is never truly a man

As much as I do hate RATS, but we can deny the fact theres plenty of them sneaking around in this thing of ours, awaiting their perfect moment and bite milimeters away. While I share your anger at being betrayed we rely on information crossing into our path's all the time and generally we don't mind where it comes from as long as it is true and it saves our deriair.

It is very rare to be a witness to a discussion or a plot that involves yourself, so the information has to come from someone or "somewhere"

Not as such the information came from the opposing side after the war was over and the person was no longer IG so i wouldn't class them as a rat, but poetic yes.

Again the info came from outside of the playing field purely as a heads up to the fact we had a rat, we had suspicions already the info just clarified what many already believed.

These is always going to be informers in our world. We cant stop that and you will never really know who they are unless you are informed yourself by one of your men working undercover in different city or unless you are being attacked and you see this member join opposite side. I have seen it happened plenty of times in the past where they have worked close to a family then turn there back and taking over with a different city.
I can understand why you are angry Lancelot and upset but it will be hard to stop this happening because you will have to stop recruiting new member and just bring in the people who you trust very close and there is even a chance they are one of these rats you speak of.

Well put it this way; your RHM comes to you with "information" you either ask him where he/she gets it from and they say a reliable "source", this is either third hand information or your RHM has heard this from someone within another family (whose motives obviously are unclear in this hypothetical scenario) which is still classed a rat. Or lastly you do not ask him/her where they got it from as either you are a tard and do not care where information comes from or you trust your RHM without question (if judging history this IMO is naive) Now do you;

1 - Turn your nose up at such information as its pretty hypercritical of your ethics if you despise "rats" but will use one if it suits you
2 - Use that information to potentially safe you and your "family" from potential deadly consequences

This, I thought, was extremely innovative and in fact one way to stop member whoring but also making sure you have one selective tight nit family. Obviously the consequence of the new member messing up resulted in the death of the family member who vouched for them, think of this;

You make some very good points bobobobo, however with regards to the above i must be naive because i DO trust my RHW without question, you see our world is built around trust and respect without that we'd be nothing but common criminals. If a crewleader gave the RH position to someone they didn't respect or trust then quite frankly if things went tits up it would be on the crewleaders head, put bluntly if my RHW came to me with sensitive information regarding the safety of my family or any of the other families in my city i would act on it without question.

You obviously didn't read my reply properly, the source wasn't going to reveal this information all the time they were alive were they, like i said the source came from the opposing side and had they have won the war probably wouldn't have offered up such information, they would have been foolish to have done so all the time the war was still on but once they had been killed what difference did it make?, in my opinion they thought it right that they made people aware of a man that couldn't be trusted, would they want to come back and start over in a city that they knew had a rat? absolutely not.

People will always look for inside information its human nature, but you will never find me giving out information to anyone that could be of a sensitive or damaging nature to my city or my family, i have friends across our world in every city but i would put a bullet in them all if it meant keeping my crew and city safe make no bones about that.

Ok, I think we all can agree that no city like "Rats." I don't think we need to contiue beating the horse with broom.  Nextly, In this world of ours its nearly impossible to keep information hidden rather it be in the coffe shops,our family HQ's,etc, etc... Regardless of how the info caim about is irrelevent because the situation is done and over with, so why continue on with it? I personally find it pointless. I think Lancelot is just trying to figure out a way to control situation like this....

I personally don't remember reading anywhere in my ancestors dairies about a fellow named Sprozz having a family that operated in a vouching system on who could be let in and so on...I do remember reading about aquiring mademan you had to have some vouch for you. If the member screwed up  then they paid for it along with the other member that vouched for the member to let be into the "circle of trust."
