Santano made his opening speech to the men and women that had agreed to the meet and listen to his master plan. The table was full and all the silencing contracts signed. It was time to reshape history. Prohibition made kings out of men who knew how to move liquor and outlines out of those who didn’t. 

“This my bullet hungry friends is how we pull off the perfect heist, the one nobody could prove ever happened.”

Santano laid it out simple:

“Not a bank. Not a train. We take something nobody’s guarding.”

“A week’s worth of untaxed whiskey, locked in a federal warehouse, waiting to be processed. Millions on the street. Invisible on paper. The trick isn’t about breaking in. It is making sure nobody realized it was gone. The plan and breakdown is as follows.”

“Uniforms. Not stolen, tailored. Perfect federal agent blues, badges polished, paperwork forged down to the ink blotches. If you look official, nobody asks questions”

“Timing. Shift change, 2:13 AM. Not 2:00. Not 2:30. That 13-minute window where everyone assumes the other guy is watching the door.”

“Silence. No guns. No shouting. Just a clipboard, a nod. We move crates moved fast. Truck in. Truck out. Engines low. No screeching tires, no busted locks. Just bureaucracy in motion.”

“The trick is, we do not empty the warehouse. We take just enough, spread across rows, across labels. A bottle here, a crate there. Losses small enough to look like counting errors. By sunrise, the whiskey will already in speakeasies across three boroughs. By noon, the paperwork said it had never existed.”

Santano finished his 1000 laps of the table while he spoke. He looked into everyone eyes to see who was shaping up to be on board or the once that where unsure. He had finished his pitch and proceeded to light a cigar in his own celebration.

“Ladies and Gentlemen the floor is now yours to ask questions, talk cuts, pick holes in my perfect plan. Just remember when you leave this room not a word is to be ever said.”

He took a gigantic draw on his cigar and filled the air with a cloud of smoke.

The Perfect Heist Does Exist

Enricho was fiddling with a carburetor when a contract was pushed in front of him, the words at the top enticed him and without reading, he signed. Bringing his focus back to the spring tension on this old pile of crap he found on a Buick Eight. After listening to Santano's pitch, Enricho chuckled to himself about his timing. Having been there for a drink and, what was, a quiet moment to get his old rag jointed trash pile carburetor working again.

"The Great Enricho must have been given this contract because you know of my prowess behind the wheel!" Enricho let out a wide grin before disclosing a secret of his collections. "I, The Great Enricho, have the perfect truck for this job, Santano! I happen to have the exact model the fed use!" Exclaiming loud enough for everyone to give a slight eye to him, Enricho took notice and fixed himself. In a more mild mannered tone, he continues: "Everything is legal and just needs a quick paint job. The fed are working on renewing their fleet, so a freshly painted truck won't be out of place. The Great Enricho is the best driver in the west, no one shall know the wiser!" Enricho's fist plunged through the air, "The perfect heist indeed!"

Enricho eagerly awaits the next voice to speak their offers to the job.

As Santano exhaled a huge plume of smoke into the air he walked through it and emerged through the other side like a mysterious monster eyeballing everyone. A suave looking gent named Enricho piped up first that made Santano snap his neck in the direction of the meaningful voice. 

He listened to every word making sure he missed nothing and gauged whether the guy knew what he was talking about. He was looking for subject matter experts in their fields. His first impression of Enricho was indeed a good one, confident, clear, loud, to the point and clearly backed himself.  

"The Great Enricho ey! you my friend will of course have to prove yourself with what you say you can do. I am very interested to see these skills first hand before the real deal. I think that is fair enough to ask, no!" 

He watched Enricho for his reaction to his comments.

"Can I take a look at the truck to, would be wise to give it a once over."

"What a huge tick in the box though to have all that to offer. It gives me the warm and fuzzies. If that isn't a sell enough to the rest of you guys to jump on board with your skills sets. Who else has something to offer?"

A rumour has been spreading that Enricho is still drunk from the last heist and is in hiding because he stole a wolf from lonelywolf
