A pale and slight girl walked into the bar, her long dark hair drenched from the rain storm outside. Her large brown eyes seemed cautious as they took in the long room. She chose an empty seat behind the counter. She crouched forward slightly and just as a lock of hair covered her left eye, a tall non descript man came and sat beside her. "What's eattin you kid?" he asked with a wink. There was silence, she didn't quite know how to answer that question, especially to a stranger. He then leaned in a little closer to brush the lock of hair out of her face gently "Something you need?" he asked. "...yes, I think so.." she replied sounding a little uncertain. She looked up at him properly then. It was him, the man from the picture, the man he had told her to come see. "Yes, I think you knew my late fiance," she said with confidence. "Yes I believe I did...what's your name kid?" "Bella....Isabella Swan." "Welcome to the family Bella," he smiled. |
