As you walk down the street from your apartment on the wrong side of the tracks you notice a crowd gathering around a guy in front of a cardboard box playing blackjack. The dealer seems like an out-of-towner, a person that doesn't belong here. You wait to play a few games, hoping to win a few out this sucker. After a few minutes you're up and before you even say a word you put 40 grand up on the table. The guy looks at you and deals the cards and waits for you to make a move. As you flip over your card to take a peek it, there is a note "Help save my life, help save my crew. I was sent here to find you". You slowly look up as you ask for another card. Not even a minute after reading the note you hear several gunshots. In no time at all the dealer and his guards are dead. Looking around, you see people in the street panicking and running for shelter. You think the targets have been hit, you grab the note, and your money off the box, and walk away. Quickly around the block and hop into your car. As you get back to the club, you hang your jacket up, taking the note from your pocket and leaving it on the table. You head to bed you plan to get to work first thing in the morning. You walk up to the sound of a newspaper hitting your front door step. As you pick up the newspaper, you see the front page. "Last night a triple murder took place. Three people where gunned down last night, police said. The killer is still on the loose and we have only started our investigation, we know there are people who witnessed the crime, and we would like them to come forward to help us with our enquiries." As you put on your suit, and grab your briefcase you wonder how the blackjack dealer had known you or even if the killers are out you get you. Well, you leave you house, hoping to ask some questions and get some good answers. You don't have a choice but to ask some questions, you have to make sure your ass is safe. |
