You'll have to excuse me, but I'm going to attempt to keep this light-hearted. Though the topic of discussion is a serious one... there's no need to be shooting people over it. Not yet anyway. So, everyone is ranting and raving about Detroit. A new city where we can reside in in relative peace. Detroit: the city that sprung the birth of the automobile. Where would be without it? However, oh gosh, it's empty from the populous of mafioso. It's been deemed the best city to be born in, and yet it's nearly empty. So, I'll ask a vague question; who do we place there? Now, before we starting casting votes for Revan, I think we should remember that, even though it is far from the ocean, Detroit has been built for the new blood arriving to us. So, I ask you a more specific and debate-invoking question: What are the chances that Detroit will stay just that; a city for new blood? A city dedicated to helping the foreigners who step foot into our world unsure of it's traditions? Does this mean it holds special precedence over the other cities? Is it cast out? Basically, I'm asking your opinion of the city. |

Not to try and question you here but I believe we were told what was going to happen with Detroit just a few days ago by Daera thinking back I believe his words were: "Right now, there are currently no plans to set someone up in the Motor City. With three families still having room, we feel that the population to leader balance is quite good right now. If there are any changes in that plan, rest assured, you will find out." Now there is another place for people to go to with Kangaroo setting up as a captain to Iris, there is even more space for new people getting off the boat. So if there was no need for a leader before i can't see why things would have changed. Of course these are just my views, but seeing as we havent heard anything I would assume things are fine as they are, and if anything needs changing then it will be dealt with if and when the time comes. As for the city itself as you say it's a place for people new to our world to get their bearings and a feel for this life. In my opinion I dont think there is anything else that needs doing to it at this time. It's still early days I just want to get used to this new airport being opened up before I start to worry about who is running the city. |

| Point taken, but my question was not only directed at leadership for the city. And, additionally, my question was also meant to poke your curiosity at the future of the city. Not the immediate future. I'm not asking for anyone to set up here. But the future down the road. Reach deep into your imagination and see what you can find. | |

I understand your point also but asking me to go into my imagination is a bad thing, some strange things lie there. I try to keep my imagination under wraps and just deal with some strange dreams instead. Being serious I have no idea what could happen with the city it isn't up to me, but whatever does happen I will be very interested to see how it pans out in time. |

| I don't think that any leadership there would differ much from what it would be in any other city. There are leaders that place a lot of effort into helping the new immigrants and some that focus elsewhere. I imagine that if an individual wished to set up with immigrants in mind Detroit would be a city they may desire. I don't recall a leader ever setting up in New Orleans with that specific interest though. | |

If you want to come to my city I simply charge $2900 a day. We have a 2 day pass for the low low price of $5500 . Welcome to Detroit. |

Miss Rossi listens patiently while the group of men speak among themselves. At a lull in the conversation she steps forward, affixing a smile to her face and waving her fingers. Mind if I share a little piece of my, well, mind? While I know you didn't ask for your opinion on who should set up in the city of Detroit, I do think that it does hold some bearing on your question. In fact, I think they directly tie in to one another. You want to know what the future of Detroit will hold? Most of that will be based on the person who ends up becoming the Don of that city. I think it should remain that safe haven for new blood coming into this thing of ours, but then again that will depend on the individual who ends up running the city. My opinion could be moot if whomever takes leadership of Detroit has other plans. Perhaps they are not fond of civilians, thugs and gangsters roaming their town limits, and ban them all from entering or loitering. You never know what can happen under the thumb of another. As I was saying, I think Detroit will start off small, perhaps struggling a bit. Being the newest city it has a lot to prove, and the first person to grace the latest crime city will either make or break the reputation. That being said, if someone had the patience and the know-how, I could see it becoming a very, very effective city for the tutelage of all those wishing to enter this life and start on their way to becoming a true mobster. |

Perhaps, as Rubiki said, he's not after names, just ideas and general wonderments. We, the mafia, have expanded to the city of Detroit. This new city will be full of youngsters, new to our ways and untrained in our code. Should we expand, as we have up to now, into the city, name a leader and run it as we do the other great cities? Or, could we come up with a new system? Perhaps allowing a tutor to set up a HQ? Someone who knows our ways, someone who is eager to teach the youth of Detroit. Going further, they could set up a HQ, take in members and provide shelter to them up to a specified rank, at which stage, these young mafioso's would be free to leave Detroit and join another fully fledged family in one of the other cities. The HQ could be filled with literature, advise and perhaps recruitment posters from the other families? Just an idea . . . |

She pushes her way through the streets listening to conversations around her. One regarding Detroit catches her ear. She steps towards the group discussing it and nods in respect before speaking. I'm sorry to interrupt you but I overheard your conversation. As far as I know there are no plans for Detroit at this time. We are concentrating on other things. I'm sure the time will come where our newest city will see a leader but now is not the time. I see nothing wrong with Detroit being left the way it is for now. There is no rush for an appointed leader at this time. Well, none that I know of. Again, I'm sorry for interrupting and wish you all well. She nods again, in a sign of respect and returns to her evening stroll. |

Rubiki watches as the crowd falls silent upon the sight of Iris. He listens to her, a little disappointed I do apologize if my speech has made people think that I, or anyone else, is in a rush to see a leader in Detroit. The main purpose of my speech was, yes, to inspire debate and discussion. But also to inform people that I believe that Detroit should remain a city for the new comers. With the right direction, I think it's perfect. I just hope I'm not alone when I say that I fear that over-time, the purpose of the city will fade away. |
