Rain tapped against the windows of an aging social club tucked away in South Philly. Cigarette smoke drifted lazily through the room as a handful of respected figures sat around an oak table worn smooth by decades of whispered conversations and life-changing decisions. A bottle of whiskey made one final trip around the table before settling beside a leather-bound folder.

The room fell silent.

A couple signatures followed by a single nod.

History had been made.

As the hour grew late, the whiskey glasses were emptied, chairs scraped across the wooden floor, and the meeting came to an end. One by one, the men disappeared into the Philadelphia night.

Only the faint glow of cigars remained.

By sunrise, word would spread from street corner to street corner.
