I have no problems with AI, I use it daily, what I *DO* have a problem with is someone pressing a single button and feeling entitled to getting the same reward as someone who just poured an hour of their life into a post.  And then getting all butt hurt about it when the points are removed.  AI is a wonderful tool, but it is not a replacement.  Have it prompt you, have it spell check you, have it tell you its opinion on your prose, but don't click a button and then have your hand out for a reward :/

When you can get ahead in this game by using your profile & Image through game mechanics, I'll happily support banning it. 

But if you think someone has AI in either of those and you don't approve.. well, try as I might, there is no rule against refusing to use your brain.

Until then, it's 75 petties for a gun, the world is your oyster. 

AI is sort of the scapegoat and used as a catch all word, but in reality it's something that you use daily yourself.

Ever autocomplete on your phone? (automated process that is data driven)

Ever drive a car? (Everything from your ABS, AEB, ACC, ESC, hell even the automatic transmission is data driven now, factoring your historic driving habits, not just reading current sensors.

Bender in your profile picture has been computer assisted since day 1, only certain parts are hand drawn (and then, even those, go through an automated process that is data driven), the rest is full on CGI (which, is an automated process that is data driven)

Every bit of modern software written today uses data driven automation.  I legit could spend 30 hours a month reading up on security issues and keeping all libraries patched to keep the game safe for just that month only, it's not something anyone can keep on top of without a full time professional.

The only difference is now the that its reached a level of simplicity that its now gone from industry pioneers, to professionals, to hobbyists and finally now usable by regular people.  And when that happens, we see the fallout of people using tools that they haven't mastered yet. (Aka the shitty original NPCs that I was attempting to make compared to what they are now, the tooling i've made is now 10x better, and the probably 2,000 hours i've put into learning proper image generation since has made a huge difference). 

All AI is, is simply looking at data in a 3 dimensional way, and knowing the geometry between different parts of it. We've been using it for most of our entire lives, whether we realize it or not (but maybe not as broad or as deep as we do now)

Since we all use it every day under various names, let's be realistic about where that line should be drawn. For me, the line would be at the 'don't get pouty when you get nothing for the work you didn't do, while your neighbor gets rewarded for work they actually did do'.

Because I can't afford to hire 10 full time artists, or a security professional, and so on.  So to not be a hypocrite, I have the the line where its most fair, and thats when it directly affects other people.
