Czar sits on the balcony of his home on the outskirts of Chicago. He looks over the lush landscaping of his back yard and listens to the sound of silence that his home affords him. The view overlooking the city he calls home compels him to just sit and enjoy it a few hours on end sometimes.

He thought about the things he has gone through, the things he has done, seen and experienced on his time on earth. He thinks about where he came from. He sips at his vodka, lights a cigar and drifts away in thought...

I grew up a poor child in the city of Leningrad in a proud Soviet Union. Life was never easy for us. My mother sold trinkets at the market when she could get there. It wasn't easy when raising 5 children. My father was a noble worker at a foundry about 2 miles out of town. We were happy for as poor as we were because it wasn't material things that made us happy. We would sit around the oven and my father would tell us about his stories when he would go hunting or fishing with his father when he was young. He promised that when he saved enough money for a rifle that he would take me hunting with him. I knew it would never happen but even knowing it would never happen it still made me happy to hear it. We never had everything we needed but we always had each other.

Every morning after the day of my 14th birthday my father would wake me up very early in the morning, I would get dressed and I would follow him to the foundry where he worked. I knew even back then that my father needed me to bring money to the house as my mother was being able to make it to the market less and less. The foundry was a horrible place, so hot and dirty. I hated it there but knew my father would hit me if I ever complained. I never blamed him when he did, it was my place as the oldest boy to help the family anyway I could without complaint. I worked odd jobs for the foreman who would pay me out of his own pocket. At the end of the day my father would find me and we would walk home together. These were the greatest times of my life. We would always stop by the market and he would buy me a piece of candy for about the equivalent of a penny and then took my days earnings for the family. I didn't are, I was there for my family not myself. My father would get home and kiss my mother and sister and play with my younger siblings for a while before we would sit down to a very modest dinner. Life was happy until one day when my mom got sick.....

He pours another shot of vodka for himself and rests back into his chair

...after my mother's death of what I know now was cancer when I was 14 the one thing that I can remember vividly is hearing my older sister Mosha cry through many nights alone. She never knew she wasn't alone and she never knew I could hear her. I just sat outside her door and listened to her wishing I could stop the pain but didn't know how. Well the fact of it all was I would sit there, outside her door and cry with her but was always to ashamed to go inside her room and show my tears. She took the death of my mother the hardest as she was closest to her, yet had to be the strongest to take care of my 3 younger siblings. She was 17 at the time and my father needed her too and she knew it. So she would just put on a smile for my father and wish him a good day at work.

whispers to himself Everything changed in one morning......

I remember my father waking me up early in the morning about a year after my mother's passing and sitting with me on my crude bed and talking. He looked at me as I wiped the sleep from my eyes and said "Son, today you are a man. You have no more use for tears today or any other. Life will never treat you fair and if you want something in this life you have to work for it. Greatness waits for you my son I just know it. Now get dressed Nikolai, today is your first step on your path to king......your path to Czar!"

It was that day at 15 years old I that I had to leave and become a man. I hugged my father for the last time, looked at him and watched him drop the only tear I had ever seen him shed even after my mother's passing and walked out of my childhood home for the last time...never to see my sister, my father, or my younger siblings again...

Nikolai pulls his coat over his face and heads off into a world he will soon find out is a lot colder than it seems on the surface.

That was a true warriors story, you have had it hard sir and its made you a very strong person, and i really respect you for it.

Not alot of people would express themselves like you did, that takes alot of balls.

And i wish you the best of luck, to further your success in your life.

You have done alot of people proud already.
