| Refreshing someone you cant see? | Started by: TheTripleDeuce on Jul 16, '26 22:50 |

I find it weird that we cant see someone in our locals but we can refresh on them when we are trying to either pro them or kill them. IMO we shouldnt be able to just essentially aim blindly at a person we dont even know if they are in the city we are in or not. If my vision is poor i shouldnt be able to just refresh on someone with pure stealth because how do i know they are even there to begin with? this would be a huge game change and would drastically alter the way pro's and wacks happen in game but would make people/players think twice when they create or build a character. this could also go in effect for pickpocketing as well. and the "you know they are in your immediate vicinity" could also be limited to only if you can see them in the locals. just an idea that i thought might make sense and help stabilize the game instead of just having people constantly refreshing on someone that none of them can see type deal |

This is something we sort of touch on in the new version. Long story short, in the new version we try to do many things 2 ways, the easy way and the hard way. The easy way is single click - get rewards. The hard way is much more work/risk - get bigger rewards.
With wack, for example, you can load up the wack screen, pop in a name, toggle your safety, then boom - dead. Orrrr you can cat and mouse it. You can load up the grid, find them, literally navigate closer to them. (If you have shit vision you can wander about the areas until you see their dot appear within your radius of vision) The closer you get, the better the bonus of hitting them, BUT you also run the risk of them seeing you. In this mode, vision and proximity give a buff for that shot, but is 100% optional. |
