Minty took to the streets to address the crowd on a warm, breezy mid-morning in Downtown Chicago. He had awoken early to the news of murder, of the death of his close associates, and had spent the morning quizzing those closest to him to understand what had happened. Large pieces of the jigsaw began to piece together and he felt he was at a point in which he understood the facts, and was ready to share his thoughts with the Streets.

I'd like to begin by paying tribute to Godfather Interlude. He dragged me along with him - a long time ago - when we worked in Vegas together and the call came, he was due to set up base here in Chicago and I felt honoured he wanted me to be a part of that. Both formal and informal counsel worked both ways between us, and as time went on we turned the place from a barren wasteland into a thriving hive of crime - mob rules and we reaped the rewards. I would not listen to suggestions to the contrary (DOWN, dog) that Chicago is a Himalayan Balsam-infested shithole - that is the side of town awaiting regeneration, and is not representative of the city itself. Interlude was a true mobster, he rebuilt this city, he was a mentor and a friend, may he rest in peace.

One of his men, for reasons unknown currently, quite possible because he was disgruntled, took it upon himself to murder Interlude; the same man who housed him, protected him, and whom Interlude told me in private, he respected. That man was a good mobster himself. Whatever led to this situation we find ourselves in, is bitterly disappointing, regrettable and quite sad, really, in itself.

In all the confusion, whilst I was sleeping, associates from The Loop were out on the streets doing the dirty work they usually find themselves doing at that time of night, earning money and hustling as you'd expect. They witnessed a mobster from New York, who had been sent at the request of associates to protect me, acting strangely around our HQ in South Side. They used the initiative and executed the man without thinking twice. This was unfortunate and completely avoidable in hindsight, but all the same I appreciate those from Chicago doing what they felt was right and reacting, as opposed to sitting on their hands and waiting by idly. I'd like to thank my associate from Brooklyn for sending his man to assist with the situation, and I am very sorry for his loss. His next of kin will be well-taken of, rest assured.

The rogue continued to travel across the country throughout the night, taking aim at mobsters from known crews and murdering several good people needlessly; with high-ranking members from almost every city suffering casualties. He gained some followers himself along the way and formed his own crew - they didn't last long, unsurprisingly. My condolences to the innocent fallen and to their families, and may they too, Rest In Peace. The Rogue's reign terror ended when a senior mobster from Detroit took aim and expertly put him in the dirt.

In Chicago we completely condemn this spate of murder, and can assure the rest of you hearing this speech and reading any 'newsparper' that there is no immediate danger to anybody.

We will rebuild. In the meantime, I'd ask everyone to be respectful at any funerals, to honour the protection order for the unhoused members of A Tax-Free Paradise which is in place for 10 days from today, and to remain vigilant.

Property Manager is a swindler, Mario. He'd screw a snake if someone would hold it for him.  That comes with the territory growing up on the mean streets of New York City with a raccoon for a mother and only a picture of DetroitSimon in his wallet for a father figure. He did what he had to do to survive. The animal must adapt or it will die, and PropertyManager is nothing if not a survivor, defying all odds to survive being tossed in a trash bin as a baby, by his father.

But beneath it all is a heart of gold. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. You might want to wash it first.
