From the steps overlooking Pershing Square, Archy stood before the people of Los Angeles. Dressed in a freshly tailored suit and wearing the head of Anubis, he surveyed the gathering below. Behind him stood the city that had become his home. Ahead of him stood the future. His mind briefly wandered to The Golden Scarab. What had begun as a modest antiquities shop had grown into something far greater. Collectors, businessmen, and curious travelers had passed through its doors. Behind displays of ancient masks, statues and relics from forgotten kingdoms, friendships had been made and business deals were closed. Archy cleared his throat and addressed the crowd.

With the blessing of Godfather Chairman @BuddyBigPaw, a new House rises in Los Angeles. I am grateful for the opportunity and the trust he has given me and I hope I can meet his expectations. Anyway, the Golden Scarab began by preserving history. Today, that foundation becomes something greater.

The crowd watched as the figure wearing the head of Anubis continued. Some saw a businessman, others saw a collector of the ancient world and to some others he was just a familiar face from the dice tables. A few saw something more. Like the ancient guardian known as He Who Is Upon His Mountain, Archy had spent years preserving what others forgot, protecting what others abandoned, and building something meant to endure. Not far beyond the city, where Los Angeles slowly gave way to desert and stone, a pyramid stood beneath the California sun. Against all expectations, despite delays, poor decision-making, and the involvement of one single laborer from the Spike bloodline, the monument had finally risen from the earth. It stood as proof that legacy is built one stone at a time.
