It's really humanity versus inhumanity, in a way. What people try to create and preserve, you want to rip down and set it on fire. Where there's empathy and regret, with you is coldness and jokes. Where there's a a little hope, you brought demoralization and goal ending: trying to get people to just return back to the old country - there was no place for them here.

And for the record, KW was dogshit leader that was spooked by 30 day old earners. I'd actually call him 'bitch made'.

I was away in Maine for a week travelling and working on my tan. Just returned last night after eleven hours on the road. I got a good base tan in the Hamptons the prior weekend. I went to many art galleries and museums last week, and I visited Monhegan Island for the first time in a long time and took boats to other islands. I went to an auction house for a day which was interesting, mostly art, some antiques. I strolled a beach and picked crabs out of the water into a bucket at night. So many lobsters. It’s nice not being a leader, or being you. Really nice not being you. Sad creature. And that's the difference.

I did not want to half-ass a reply to lil Matty here, and yes, I am spicy.

Matty. It feels like you can’t take criticism well, about your own words or about your friends’ actions or lack thereof.

You don’t seem to understand that those in power should be giving speeches about things that have happened. That was always a standard. Those in power provide a narrative. You say that “Everyone worth mentioning already knows who did it…” Who is everyone? What about the public? The point is to involve as many people in what is going on as possible. Maybe someone should address why Richard’s lil friend knew full well about the plans of the rogues beforehand… Richard covering for him? Did Richard know or is his lil friend playing both sides, despite his supposed and publicly pledged full loyalty to Richard?

You’re a leader. It’s not my responsibility to do your job for you or for others in power. I’m noting that the overall effort is very low. You’re doing better than others… Despite trying to cover for them. But for the most part, it’s pretty trash. Many under ten hour leaders, even more under ten hour hands. Low message counts. You say it’s summer, but this has been going on far longer than the summer and should not be minimized. I literally was on a cross country road trip in the middle of Utah trying to arrange defense in a war while on the road the other year or so. Boy were the carrier pigeons tired that day. Summer isn't a good excuse. I have been approached by a lot of people complaining about lack of effort from leadership for a long time... This isn't just based on what I see. It's what I'm told by many many sources.

You say, "you're deliberately standing on the outside for most of it." Deliberately? I'd say situationally. Everyone knows what would happen if I tried, and I am flattered by that.

But statistics also speak for themselves... The population of this thing of ours is near the lowest ever according to the census bureau. That is a good marker of whether this world has been made better or not. You should avoid letting that trend continue downward… There are other markers like activity of leadership… A couple other data points can also be looked at… So as for whether things are better, it’s good for some people. Bad for others, sure.

But if people are not even here in any way, we have a big problem. I don’t want to lead because it’s a lot of work, but if I was in power, as my line has been, I’d ride it hard until the end, not like what many in leadership is doing now. Yes, I'm on the sidelines, and in my own way, I am trying to help constructively given my limitations in this era.

I'm not asking for a bloodbath exactly. A bloodbath might fix some things. Might make things worse. However, spice, energy, and interest are what people need. That can be done without blood (to an extent), but it takes a lot of work and engagement. A corpse can be nice though. It gets people talking. Handholding regimes lead to boredom for sure though, and I accept fault for that too. That said, we were at least spicier.

I’m sure you can do better lil Matty or maybe you can make others do better. Just because we’re on opposing sides or disagree on certain things, doesn’t mean this conversation isn’t a positive thing. Cheer up.

If anyone happens to stumble across the latest born-loser iteration of Spike, can they let him know he's been missing out on some fine weekly poker sessions with some fellow gangsters

I am very perplexed at having never seen him enter one of these tourneys. Perhaps he was busy on spider-watch or at a job fair 

His brain gets too hot and he has to take a break from post and so it can cool down, but I heard a few pour kyjelky up inside of it. It helps the process

I come from a lineage that was generally able to get the community to engage, the stories I've heard about my ancestors getting on their soapbox and bringing discussions to the Streets were what I was brought up on. There was a time when one of my ancestors openly declared going to war in the Streets, facing his enemies head on at every single turn. There are archives in an old Gazette somewhere I hear, but I've no idea how to find that wealth of knowledge anymore.

Looking around now, I don't really see a population ripe for ANY leader or group to be able to successfully bring serious engagement to the Streets again. It seems like a completely different world to the one I've heard endless stories about. It would be like trying to get blood out of a stone, so blaming the current grouping in power probably has very little to do with it. Could they do more? Sure, everyone could do more. But why? It's tough creating something out of nothing and then keeping it going.

The cycles for father to son, mother to daughter are too long and too costly, so daring to be different just isn't worth it either. That is probably only something the Gods could help with but I wouldn't have any idea on how they could do that in a way that would please everyone, so things are unlikely to change.

I will pass all the old stories on to my children and grandchildren, without creating a new one myself. Maybe one of my blood further down the line will grace these shores seriously and permanently again one day but I don't envision that being any time soon.
