THE DEAD DROP Leave an anonymous prompt. A stranger writes it. You write a stranger's. Leave up to three anonymous prompts. Each goes to a different player, who has 72 hours to turn it into a complete story. Theirs comes back to you: you send one anonymous reaction, then decide what the work was worth by picking one of three sealed envelopes. We are going to adjust our timing on this a little bit, i think for faster turn-around, we may have it set so that once it has X number of players, it will then start matching new people, then if it runs out of new people it will wait a little bit for a new joiner - if not then it back fills whoever has the longest wait time, giving them the next match, despite them having matched with them recently. |

Submitted a prompt. Received a prompt. Wrote a response and submitted. When I look at it now it appears as if I haven't submitted my response even though I did. |

Does it happen to provide VIP points or is there a way down the road if both players want to reveal themselves to get points/post?
The Dead Drop is a pretty cool idea :) |

I was actually just sorta thinking this! I was thinking someone can mark it as 'please publish' so it will land in a public RP forum (as anon), they get VIP out of it, and other people now have a decent place to jump in. 1) Optional 2) Anonymous 3) Just adds some VIP time. 4) Requires the recipient (also anonymous) to not give them the tiny envelope from the game (reserved for people who put 0 effort in, in order to get rewards) Gut reaction? |

That sounds awesome! I think TDD will be a great way for a story to get going, then of course the public can jump in if it involves audience interaction, or just for reading pleasure.
I like to write, but have always been bad at generating ideas, to TDD is great because someone puts what they want to read aka The Prompt, so I can just write off that topic. The VIP points are definitely the icing on the cake! |

Not sure if I am being dense here but seems impossible to work out which of your envelopes / stories is being responded to when you get the personal message "The Dead Drop passed along a reaction to your story:" If you have multiple envelopes / stories on the go then you cant identify which one the comment has been made against. |

This was awesome. I'd love if the stories got shared anonymously. I also would love to see how multiple people respond to the same prompts. |
