Michael sat in the expensive office sofa he had bought months ago. Besides the many sexual escapades performed on this very same furniture, he had found another reason for it to be used. One to always be the interviewer, today things would be taking a turn as Mickey sat in the interviewee's seat. The Asian assistant with the glow in the dark toes was eager to start to interview. In the manila envelope on her lap were many, many questions that members of the underworld, and subscribers of OVO Magazine were eager to ask. The people wanted Michael, and of course, they would be getting two handfuls.
"Take us back to the beginning. Your family journal may not be as thick as others, but where did this thing of ours begin for your bloodline?" Many, many moons ago, a man by the name of 'pornstar' graced these beautiful shores. He was completely irrelevant as he only spent a mere 13 minutes doing organized crime, until he decided it was better to grab a regular job. Prior to him my family had no bones in the game. His move to the Americas was simply a strive for better, for more. I guess things didn't work out the way he planned since his son decided to try his hand at organized crime. Kal-El. That was the first man in my bloodline to put in enough work, that a man or two might've mentioned in someone else's journal. It says here that Kal-El approached someone named JohnnyNoName. A Godfather in New York at the time. Johnny then redirected him to a crew leader named OrangeJuice-, and his right hand man FutureStealer. There he learned the ins and outs of the business. Top to bottom. How to gamble, how to shoot, how to protect himself. I'd be surprised if they didn't teach him how to use the fucking potty too!
"You said your bloodline was completely new prior to that. Is this where things started to take a turn, and others were fully aware of what your blood could do?" Heavens no. Kal-El ended up being gunned down. I'm not sure if there are those who even remember him. His son, Kal--El, decided to pick up the family business but was also brutally murdered in a Las Vegas based city competition. The third, and final part of that trio, Kal_El seemed to have lived a rather peaceful life compared to the previous two. Somehow, someway, that old fuck FutureStealer was able to stay alive and took over the reigns of Manhattan. Kal_El sat as FS' left hand until all of their demises before the ball dropped for New Year's. Where things took a turn? I'm not sure. I'd have to save one of my ancestors by the name of 'Boogie'. He started in New York, but moved to Los Angeles with RomanReigns, Hope, TM, Shonuff, Bebe. There were a lot of names in his section of the family journal. Boogie was killed by MidpoinT when him & Mikhail ran Chicago. His son, the dangerously handsome and rich Boogie-, picked up right where his father left off at. There are those that still ask me if I have any relations to them due to our resemblance.
"You've mentioned a hand, but has anyone in your bloodline graced the crew leader seat?" No. I can count 4 hands, but no crew leaders. In some of the journals there are notes of denying that level of leadership, but no reasons as to why. If we're all alike in personality, I'd assume it's because of the lack of necessity. That along with the high level of responsibility that usually falls on that type of leader's lap.
"Let's get out of the past and move to more current times. Let's speak about you. Was your rise planned, or did you find yourself in the position unexpectedly?" That's a great question. Definitely both. My grandfather, Artist, was struck down by powers we can't mention. A very tragic incident that shook my family up for sure. It led to both the death of my uncle, who committed suicide out of fear, and my father. My father Michelangelo met his demise, from what I hear, based off the actions of my grandfather. PropertyManager's unruly appearance disgusted my mother enough for her to run off, and I was left to fend for myself. You've heard the story before. This left me no choice but to join the family business. I was motivated to give it my all, hoping it would take me far, but I'd never assume I'd be sitting here. A left hand man to a Godfather Chairman. For sure I thought I'd be dead a long time ago.
"How did things start for you, and who were the people that helped you get where you are?" I took a page out of my ancestor's page. New York has always been home for me, but getting into New York's crime scene is harder than getting into a virgin asshole. My father Michelangelo had dreams of working for New York as my grandfather Artist and Yankee had some sort of simple rapport, but to no avail. New York was filled to the brim. I thought best to go to Yankee's son, Richard-Harrow, and ask for work. Sure I could've ended up anywhere, but like they say, 'There's no place like home'. He may tell you a different story, but for sure I was looked at with a side eye. I was given a lot of excuses as to why I couldn't join, but I knew the truth. I was too handsome. Sure enough I was redirected towards Matty. The rest is history. Richard, Matty, Norella, PrincessDonut, Atropos, CatChicken. All of the New York leadership at the time definitely helped me get where I'm at today. They allowed me to be myself and sometimes that's the best thing that can happen to you.
"I see that you have New York tattoed on you. What does NY mean to you, and has it been difficult for you since moving to Chicago?" Moved? It was more like a gentle kidnapping. Ah yes, New Yawk New Yawk. This is my only tattoo and it means everything. As I said, there's no place like home. New York was already something before me. With Minaxi at the helm, New York was maybe even more powerful than what it is today. However, what WE built in New York was something special. The endless lines for OCs that were a 90% success rate. The constant outings and gatherings at the many coffee shops or clubs. It truly was, and still is, the city that never sleeps. As far as difficulty since moving? Besides not being able to complete a fucking OC, I'd say things aren't bad. I look forward to building Chicago into yet another successful empire. I do miss the pizza slices in New York, and the many friends. However, this tattoo means New York will always be home no matter what.
"You're not as wrinkle-free as you used to be. How do you maintain your status when younger, more active mafioso are trying to catch up?" That's the thing. The job never ends. I'm constantly trying to improve, but not only for myself, for those around me. That one hour I choose to nap too long? BANG! Fishes and seamoss. I must lead by example. If a young buck sees me slacking, he'll think it's ok to half ass. When he gives half of his ass, how can I lecture him? He will simply tell me to look in the mirror. There are men like BuddyBigPaw, Richard-Harrow, I've witnessed these men put in work when they didn't have to. The late great Pawfather was active until his very last breath. So active, in fact, that he left his son notes of his demise. Speech after speech. Competition after competition. Richard? Fuggedabout it. The man showers longer than he sleeps! He had orchestrated things that has kept more people alive than Spike Spiegel has died. To me, it's about planting seeds you'll never be able to enjoy the shade from. In order for the tree to grow I have to water it, don't I?
"Oh! This is a good question, and something lighter out of the mafia talk. Here's something I'm sure the ladies would be interested in. Is there anyone romantically involved in your life?" Not yet. There's someone I guess that COULD get to that point, but like she perfectly said, there's a lot of ice to break. I won't wait for the stars to align, or for God to shine a light from the heavens, but I'll give it time. People are busy. I'm busy. Life seems to always life. She's a wonderful girl though, but she doesn't like feet. I'm not sure how this would work if I'd want to put her toes in my mouth.
"Has there ever been a time where the business spilled over into your personal love life?" No. Between my work outside of organized crime, and Matty's sexy accent, there is no time for a love life. As I mentioned previously, there's someone's heart I would kidnap, but time is our greatest enemy at the moment.
"What's the biggest lie people believe about the current state of this thing of ours?" There's this ridiculous agenda that there is a "current regime". By definition, regime means a system, government, or specific group, to which none of exist. People see highly decorated people getting along and automatically think someone is pulling the wool over someone's eyes. Is this not what people were crying about? Sure, there might be a lot of the same bloodlines getting authed, but after sitting in a position of power myself, I see that a lot of people DON'T want to be authed. They don't want the bold suit or dress with the fancy red bottom heels or shoes. Someone has to do the job though, so who better than one that has the notes or instructions to get the job done? From my personal experience, it doesn't matter who you are or what you've done. Now is the time to obtain all of your wildest dreams. They say that too much of anything is bad thing, but if we didn't have too much peace, would there be anything to hold onto? I hate the misconceptions of it being too peaceful, too much nepotism, too much whatever anyone could get out of their mouth without it sounding like an excuse.
"There are people you're associated with that consider you their friends, and vice versa. Many of them are hated, many of them are loved. Do you consider yourself the hero, the villain, or just a businessman?" I consider my self none of the above. Is it a blessing to be one of the lesser recognized bloodlines? Definitely. To those that know me, know I'd put a bullet in their head if the call was made, but that's all it would be. Business. Those that know me, and that's pretty much 75% of the current underworld, they know I'm not about drama. I'm here for a good time, and depending on what woman I'm pleasuring, I'm also here for a long time. I don't have anyone to call me a villain because I don't hold onto grudges. There were discreet direct instructions in my family journal, that whoever decided to join this thing of ours, must start fresh and let go of any ill wills. I have no one to call me a hero, because one hand washes the other while two hands washes the face. Am I a businessman? Maybe if the money is right.
"Is there a succession plan in place, or does the empire die with you?" There's definitely a plan. The plan is to kick ass. My family blood has proven to do two things. Go hard or go home. No in between. I don't want my kid(s) to be set up automatically into a leadership position. Of course, I'd love for that to be the end goal, but they should work their way through the ranks. If within reach, give it to them, but not a moment before that. Money of course won't be a problem. Corporate life for the kids would be ideal, but that's if my soon-to-be girlfriend has a problem with them picking up the family business. I'm looking into buying the New York Yankees, the Gucci clothing brand from Italy, and a few other things. There's no telling which way the empire could swing.
"What does winning actually look like in a world that technically never ends?" Memories. How many times are we able to look back on with smiles instead of tears? Even if there were tears, how many people were there to hug you or help you wipe them away? That's winning in a mirror to me. The moments you were able to create and then hold onto. Something money couldn't buy.
"Maybe two more questions before we wrap things up. Are there unwritten rules of war that even you refuse to break?" For sure. I might joke around a lot, I may play a lot, but I'm really big on respect. The last time I checked, you aren't allowed to get your button until a certain age. Does that not mean we're all adults. Then, we should act like it. I never disrespect the dead. Not at funerals, not during coffee, maybe behind closed doors but that's my business! They say the tongue holds both death and life. I agree.
"How do you want to be remembered when you finally do take your last breath?" I want to be remembered for being fair. Holding everyone to the same scale, my self included. I want people to look back and remember the great times we've shared. I want people to remember the standard I set in the streets, in the HQ's. I want people to remember the abuse Matty unleashed on me. More importantly, I want people to remember that I gave it my all. More importantly I want people to remember my hate for Canada. Screw them. |

The Asian assistant was drenched. I mean, you could literally see a stream or two running down her leg. The seat she sat in was also moist. Before Michael attended the business that needed to be urgently handled, he let the vinyl play. Like a comic movie that gave scenes after the credits ran out, there was a preview of the next interview.
