The happiest day of my life also turned into the day I died. Who would have thought while preparing for a party as a new Consigliere I would end up in a pile of bodies due to war! I tried to salvage what I could for the survival of my family. Rushing back home with my last dollar on a flight. I managed to help a few but who knows when the violence will end. When the dust settles will they even be still standing? I spent my days building alliances, protecting my people, and believing that the friends who spoke to me were exactly what they appeared to be. I didn't backstab anyone or deal dirty. I can be proud of the fact I was a good person in a bad world. I started in the City on the eve of a slaughter. Perhaps that should have been enough to turn me right back around. Then I had to deal with a rogue in our family. I handled it with courage. But now I was killed in this crossfire of a war I never caused. Senseless violence by perhaps someone I viewed as a friend. I trusted everyone...my own undoing! I can only hope my Godfather survives to get even for all the blood shed in the streets while people were sleeping. Some killed in cold blood in their beds. I can at least say I was on the street in the heat of battle. A warriors death to be sure. I may have trusted the wrong people...and it cost me my life! But for the evil that brought forth this war... Well karma is coming for you! |
