Congratulations to the winners of the war regardless of how some people feel it was won. All is fair war! Bite the bullet and smile. First I want everyone to know I am new to this game regardless of what you think. I'm sure Izzy could vouch for me and or provide proof. That being said, I am not new to text based games. I am a try hard from another game. I I've been through 48hr wars, with little sleep. However my game has turned wars into a joke at this point watering it down to a ball of crap in 24 hrs. So it's who stacked the most turns win. Yes my game was/is a turned based game. So it was easy to adapt it for jail, petty and felony clicking. Your dailies are a freaking cake walk. But we are here to talk about war. Section for the war lovers: First of I keep weird hours due to chronic pain and sleep issues. On the first day of war, I had been on until 3am. I tried to sleep but it failed. I logged back in and half NY leaders were dead. I was shocked in a panic as no one was around but one player I didn't know on my team. I was never prepared for your style of war. But damn I did learn! I must have sent Octavius a flood of emails. Sorry dude! I wanted to pro him first because he was the Godfather. But he apparently had also been shot at with a failed hit. Next I searched up the hands. Zda3baby was no place to be found. TheDonbot was in jail. The one player on my team said I don't have permission to do a pro. I went it Izzy. I was advised if the BGs are not real just decorative I could kill TheDonbot. He died any way so I should have tried. When Octavius said he could have taken the hit I had serious regret. I apologize to you my friend TheDonbot. I had to pro only once before during a rogue event and didn't want to be Octavius 1%. Thankfully in that event it went well. (The two I specifically prod over TheDonbot died later so Donbot probably would have anyway.) At one point my teammate told me I could reach Odin. He was at work and couldn't help. (Later rumors were bad about him.) That being said, I have always had good experiences with him doing OC. He always made sure to include me because I was NEW to the game. I then spent multi lives in protection of my people. I heard many rumors. I'm firmilar with war but no perma death. In other game I'm an immortal vampire who never dies. I will not apologize for help pro people. I went through 7..yes Seven lives for one really long ass war. You don't need details of my specific pros clearly some of you were doing the same in the revolving door of death her in your game. Lol Rumors and more: I was advised Ladyfighter and Thalia caused the war that gutted 3 cities. So yes they became villains in my Mr. Striphe soap opera. I apologize for that but it worked as a plot point in my story. I also tarnished Striphe's reputation though some guys wanted pointers from him. Plus I think he enjoyed having a wife. Along with momentary shock. I heard another rumor that made me recall when Striphe had stepped down only to be killed the next day. That made me sad. But I was advised it was NY fault or hidden witnesses. Striphe found my dedication amusing. I oops thinking Striphe was his last name oops. So cost a life to quickly reset. I met a friend of his who was nice and gifted me credits. Advised me to reserve the correct name before leaving. I only successful spent 3 of my lives proing. I didn't kill as Mrs Corelli but the divorce scandal cost a life. Maybe his loyal family helping him out. I'm sure I could go on longer. I feel pain for all my friends savagely slaughtered in 3 cities. I've spoke to the other side including Spike. I wanted to fully understand your game dynamics in war. I will say I arrived for the bloodiest one. My vampire would have probably enjoyed it. But I took it hard losing Ruby. So I apologize for my lounge meltdown. I started here roughly 2 months plus a little more in days. I found everyone very nice and helpful. Including Hiro/Boyson who fell to my own panicked thought. You see the night before the war that topic came up. He being on the enemy side my mind went wild over the course of how game strategies work. I thought perhaps he got the time table moved up. I am sorry Hiro. I believe that's all my apologies. I offer flowers to all the fallen on both sides. I know there maybe hurt feelings still, but don't take away the joy of the game for the losing side. We are all real people at the end of the day. It's a war and it's done. I ask one thing.. Next war guys, please don't do them on or near a holiday event as I have never seen yours before. So for me I felt the West timing robbed me of that enjoyment. But I forgive you. I realize you had your reasons. Thank you all for your time to hear me out. For the others there is this: TLDR: For the people who hate my long posts I'll give my Hiro/Boyson friends a quick summary. Congratulations to the winners, no won't apologize for wanting the whole war experience my first time out. Apologies to my victims of rumors I heard and good luck to my East Coast people. PS special thanks to Izzy for holding my hand and planning a mafia soap opera. I will try for a 2.0 version prescreened before I post to the party or parties involved. I realize it must have been hard on Izzy with an almost reset no matter how cool I thought a race to the top would be. |

I enjoyed hearing your perspective as a relative newcomer. Don't worry about the meltdown. Anybody here who says they never lost their shit, if even a little bit, over a death is lying. The more times it happens to you, the less it will shock you. Give it another year or so and you will "LOL" at the death screen when it unexpectedly pops up. I'm glad you came to realize that the "enemy" wasn't necessarily evil, terrible people. We can get worked up during these stressful times and forget that we are all, for the most part (with some exceptions), pretty normal, decent people who are just playing a game. I don't think there are any real enemies here for the people who keep things in perspective. There are temporary adversaries and temporary allies. Striphe and I have a history of being on opposites sides of conflicts in the old days. Yesterday we trusted each other with our lives. That's just kind of how it works. The people who get the most out of this game will trust and work with the people they are crewed with and not always recycle the same "guild" every time. It's hard to do that when you start to see people as enemies just because they happen to be on the other side of a war out of happenstance. |
