Monte pauses mid-bite, studying Ruby's request with a raised eyebrow before letting out a hearty chuckle.

"Well, well, Miss Ruby! Most dames collect jewelry, sweetheart. You seem to collect death certificates! At this rate, the undertaker oughta be giving ya a frequent customer discount!"

He adjusts his robe and takes another bite of his sandwich.

"Now, for a lady who keeps giving the Grim Reaper the slip, how's about Ruby Requiem, Ruby the Unburied, Ruby Encore, Ruby Last Laugh, or Ruby the Everlasting?"

"As for those poor unfortunate mugs who ain't expected to make it past supper, I got a few beauties! Ruby the Brief, Ruby Dead by Dinner, Ruby One-Foot-In, Ruby Six-Feet-Under, and my personal favorite, Ruby Here Today, Gone Tomorrow!"

Monte wipes a bit of mustard from his chin.

"And for your muscle? Frankie 'The Undertaker' Moretti, Big Sal 'The Wall' DeLuca, Mickey 'Knuckles' Malone, Vinnie 'The Shadow' Russo, and Benny 'Last Rites' Romano."

He grins, raising his sandwich in a mock toast.

"One thing's for certain, doll. You keep coming back from the dead, sooner or later the Grim Reaper's gonna start taking it personally!"

Monte pauses thoughtfully.

"Come to think of it, Ruby the Repossessed has a nice ring to it. Death keeps claiming ya, and you keep refusing delivery!"
