This is probably considered bad poetry.... But it was a challenge I made for myself. You may or may not find it funny... To Sir with Love, My Entertainment Tonight was with Little Lord Fauntleroy, Auntie Mame and Uncle Buck. We were having a Party of Five at Friend's on Melrose Place, when Suddenly Susan revealed The Naked Truth. Which everyone thought, was one of the Unsolved Mysteries. That My Cousin Vinny was Running Scared from LA Law. Out for Justice, Regarding Henry was Citizen Kane, who had A Death Warrant issued at 10 to Midnight. In the Final Analysis, he faced the Abyss, so I told him to Do the Right Thing. By the way, Dr. Zhivago delivered your Next of Kin, who was Born on the Fourth of July. Driving Miss Daisy to General Hospital for Baby Jane was An Affair to Remember. In the Heat of the Night, I Dream of Jeannie, though I Love Lucy. I was Home Alone when the Wizard of Oz told me All Dogs go to Heaven. The Fiddler on the Roof, played for Other people's Money, while the City Slickers watch him like a Bird on a Wire! The Music Man was Dirty Dancing and it was Risky Business to possibly find himself Dying Young. The Sound of Music was Major League. However, recently we received a Backdraft from Gandhi, Out of Africa, because he was Coming to America via The Bridge on the River Kwai. Sometimes my Primetime is Lost in Space with Charlie's Angel's. One Day at a Time, My Three Son's are Moonlighting. The Little Rascals are Married With Children in This Old House. Goodtimes are had by All in the Family. My Dynasty is in Dallas, where my neighbors were the Colby's, until they moved to Knots Landing to be near Falcon Crest. The A Team joined Hogan's Heros, who put Charles in Charge, when I hired the Firm. My Cousin Vinny used Arsenic and Old Lace with The Cable Guy for a Chained Reaction. They were Down and Out in Beverly Hills until they arrived at Beverly Hills 90210. There they met the Beverly Hillbillies, who owned the Mighty Ducks and used to see Doc Hollywood. In closing, I Search for Tomorrow with the Guiding Light as The Young and Restless play with All My Children in Port Charles As the World Turns. These are the Days of Our Lives with only One Life to Live with The Bold and Beautiful playing on Sunset Beach and all is lost with Ryan's Hope. As Always, I'm Mad About You This was a writing challenge I created for myself. I wanted to incorporate as many movies and tv shows as I could in a letter format. Something that could be a form of humorous prose. I had one with a list of foods but got rid of it. I am considering a tale using song titles from the 60s thru the 80s for my next challenge. You're welcome to try some bad poetry here... Explore the written word in its many forms. Did you recognize some of the shows or movies? It was across a broad chunk of time. |

Little Bit o' Soul Reach Out I'll Be There Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. A Whiter Shade of Pale with an Unchained Melody. Brown Eyed Girl You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'. In Dreams He's So Fine. Respect, Soul Man People Got to Be Free. Dream Lover Will You Love Me Tomorrow ? The Twist Beyond the Sea Everybody Loves Somebody. Runaway Save the Last Dance for Me. Hit the Road Jack, The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Do The Loco-Motion and take Last Train to Clarksville. Mrs. Robinson In Dreams Blowin' in the Wind. What Kind of Fool Am I? Where the Boys Are Georgia on My Mind. Honky Tonk Women I Can't Get Next to You. Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In for this Fortunate Son. Hey Jude, Proud Mary is Cathy's Clown. Oh, Pretty Woman from The House of the Rising Sun, It's My Party. Baby love money Can't Buy Me Love. Don't Worry Baby, Norwegian Wood and Good Vibrations Light My Fire. Those Were the Days Come Together. You Really Got Me Stop! In the Name of Love and Stand by Me. Love Me Do Blue Velvet, A Hard Day's Night as I'm California Dreamin'. |
