From today forward, anyone who has an admin wack from October 28th, 2026 onward, will be ineligible to be upper structure for the period of 1 year, unless signed off on by staff. From today forward, anyone who has an admin jail from October 28th, 2026 onward, will be ineligible to be upper structure for the period of 3 months, unless signed off on by staff. From today forward, anyone who has a ban placed from October 28th, 2026 onward, will be ineligible to be an upper structure for the period of 5 years, unless signed off on by staff. From today forward, all new admin wacks and admin jails will permanently be displayed on all future users profiles, unless signed off on by staff. From today forward, any attempt to bypass this will result in being removed from the game permanently. If you create/use another and have a previous account that has something listed above, you need to immediately inform a staff member to link your new account to the previous account, or else you will be removed from the game permanently. If you are asked to leave, you are not welcome here, and we may exercise all legal options at our disposal to ensure the trespass/theft of service ceases. |

The rules are clear, and I assume the intent is to protect the community. But I feel whether that is achieved by the rules needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, ideally before the punishment (loss of anonymity or restricted upper participation) is put in effect. The signed-off on by staff comment allows for that, but it feels that the verdict lays very close to the people who decided about the initial violation just moments earlier. If the request for review comes close after the initial violation, that might be a challenging choice. Let's take last week as example, from my perspective, without knowing the details.
If their next account gets labelled with their character history (or at least the DD'd part), the following (could) happen:
In short, I don't see how the punishments help the community forward. Sure, the violation shouldn't have been made. DD is the punishment. I don't see reason for their next play to be impacted as their play didn't hurt the community. I also don't want to side-step the fact that an admin can be hurt, and they are as much part of the community as players. I also know Aizen wouldn't be impacted here, due to the timelines. It's just an example. But it is an example where I think the announced rules wouldn't fit well. I don't really know other recent examples, but say a player has a violation regarding, cheating, abuse or racism. That would be fine to punish as that's a person I wouldn't want to play with. It's a difficult line to draw, but I feel that were it's drawn by this announcement is not the right place. Respectfully, |

Exupery, The goal is rehabilitation, not punitive. However, when it becomes clear that rehabilitation is not working, what's the next step? The proper answer in all honesty is probably just removing people who have demonstrated that they are incapable of playing within the rules the exact moment it becomes clear that it's a pattern, simply remove them completely. I am proposing that we give people an additional chance, some people grow up, some people do not. Is a racial tirade by a user in a manic state a one time thing? Or are they just a racist asshole? Do we ban them for 6 months? Do we allow it to happen a dozen more times? Can we get the point across with a slap on the wrist and a restriction on their account that they are temporarily not suited for leadership roles that represent the best and brightest to look up to. I think we we can make progress with this as opposed to the alternative of just banning them for the entire time. If a user would much rather be banned permanently rather than a much shorter time but with the understanding that those actions are simply not acceptable by the leaders and those they choose to represent the full values of their families - they are more than welcome to request it to be a permanent ban instead. What we have now is a problem with recidivism, and seeing someone with a horrific list of offenses getting DD'd for a 5th, 10th or 15th time is really a failure for us to adjust to the reality that some people can be a one time only offense, and others it will be a lifelong repeating tradition. |

could this be a more appropriate thing for the player comission to decide on? essentially allow users/players to determine the outcome as to eleviatethe burden on the admins to further distance any conspiracies that might arise in the future? even an account(one vote per verified account with enough play time hours) sided anonymous poll could help determine this, if the majority says "yes display it" it would help with even more justification |

No, users are not privy to sensitive information, nor should they be. |
