Boxing is open: put your bodyguard in the ring Started by: Squishy on Nov 04, '26 13:20

Why did the bodyguard take up boxing? He was tired of taking punches for free.

From today he can take them for $97,500. Bodyguard Boxing is open: Profit, then Gamble, then Boxing.

The idea. Your named bodyguards fight each other for money. You do not throw the punches. You give your boxer a fight plan, a list of moves in order, and the ring plays the two plans against each other live while everybody watches.

How a fight happens. Put a boxer on the board for $50,000 with the plan it fights with. Another player's boxer of the same tier takes the fight and puts up the same $50,000. Five minutes later the bell rings: up to 8 rounds of 15 exchanges, one every 4 seconds, called blow by blow on the fight page, with the bell and the result in #boxing in the Lounge. A knockout ends it early. Otherwise the boxer with more health left wins on points. The winner's owner collects $97,500.

Who can box. Any named bodyguard with at least 25 health. It fights with its trained stats and its real health, it only meets boxers of its own tier so fights stay close, and it rests for 3 hours after a fight.

Plans. Build your own in the plan builder, up to 120 moves in any of 30 slots, or start from one of the eight house plans. Chain up to 8 plans into a match style, switch plans between rounds, and share a plan with a friend as one line of text. Your plans belong to your account, so they follow you to your next character. Nobody ever sees your plan.

Side bets. Anyone can bet on any fight from the moment it is taken until the final bell: even money, $10,000 and up, anonymous. Every fight stays on record, and a click on any boxer's name brings up its card, its charts and a replay of every fight it has had.

The full rules are here: Boxing, how it works. The board is here: put your bodyguard in the ring.

Ding ding.
