ParanoidFreak looks visibly tired. It is not often that she looks this drained but it is not often that events such as this evening happen. She walks out towards the street and starts to speak.

The removal of tnaryT and some of his members was not an easy decision. After JackPepper died, I agreed to stay back in Los Angeles and ensure that the work he put into this city was not put to waste. I fully intended to work with tnaryT and all the members of Dope N Coke Inc.; unfortunately this was not meant to be. tnaryT's crew has been operating without a leader for way too long; the need for stability for his remaining members and for this city is too great to have allowed this to continue for any longer. Rumblings from within the walls of his headquarters have worried me about the future safety of all members of Los Angeles. I had to make a very hard decision tonight but the future of the city and those who have pledged their loyalty to it have to be my number one priority and concern.

ParanoidFreak takes a deep breath and walks towards her own headquarters to have a stiff drink with those close to her and the city of Los Angeles.

Hearing one of his old friends speaking to the masses, Galahad stops as he knows if ParanoidFreak was out in the streets speaking, it was something important.   After listening to what Mrs. Freak had to say, Galahad walks up and extends his hand. 

I know this decision did not come lightly to you as I know you examine every situation from every angle.   It is a shame to see a crew leader fall but I'm sure it was something necessary.  I wish you and your family the best of luck in the city of angels!

ok, might be being a little blonde here, but I am a little confused over last nights removal of Dope N Coke inc and the reasons given:

 tnaryT's crew has been operating without a leader for way too long

Now the reasoning seems to be that it was the lack of leadership and feeling that LA would not move forward due to that lack of leadership that led to the ultimate death of ynaryT. if this is true, why feel the need to take down over 20 members of Dope N Coke inc? why not just remove the head and let someone from within set up who would show better leadreship? A lot of deaths last night when the issue was with just one person. it seems to me that the actions and reasoning do not quite match up.

Just a couple of thoughts, like.

Keenos I'm sure there was a good reason for those members deaths, as you can see ynaryT's former left hand Jewish Jake has been given auth to run his own crew & rehouse what is left of Dope N Coke.

A part of me feels the same way as Keenos on this matter, so many lives taken for what seems like a matter that could have been handled with a removal and a suitable replacement taking place. I am sure there is reasons as to why it was deemed neccesary that they all be removed but after all this is LA business.

I do understand what you mean, I have lost friends in all this & I mourn they're loss but I trust in Paranoid Freaks decision and I know this action wouldn't be taken lightly.

Whilst taking off the head may appear an easy action, the problem you are left with is a quivering body that could remain a threat especially if someone steps forward to take on the mantle that you are not overly keen with.

By far the most efficient means and the one taken last night is to assess the threats, plan accordingly and take them out.

That good reason likely being that the other people involved in this coup wanted to get their fill of the death and glory while the going was good.

I hope nobody saves me from a lack of leadership with a bullet to the face. I can tolerate the lack of leadership from Slash just fine.

Well I'm not entirely surprised & a little flattered but I'd have to think about that one.

I wasn't around when all this happened so I'm not privy to what exactly happened with the low rankers or why, Could just be wrong place wrong time.

Is there a protection order of any kind in place? I only ask because I know one of my good friends is currently on a short break and is therefore unaware of what has happened. A hands off warning would put me more at ease for those left in Tyrant's crew so then can safely join up with a new family. 

Protection Lists

This has changed a little compared to what the Godfather Council had in place. I shall explain...

As always; Un-tagged members shall recieve NO PROTECTION what so ever. This INCLUDES anyone who is Made+.

Tagged associates (Wise Guy and below) shall be afforded 1 weeks protection by the City Heads.

Tagged friends of ours (Made Man and above) shall be afforded 2 weeks protection by the City Heads.

It is at the city of the deceased discretion whether or not to issue a protection order. However, protection STARTS from the leaders death and not from the time a protection order is issued. This obviously saves the un-needed deaths of sleeping family members.

Protection orders are only to be issued by Upper Structures only.

Now delving in to the trickier part and I am sure a lot of people have always found confusion in this. In the event of a take down the victor of the ensuing war will decide when a protection order should be issued, if a protection order should be issued. It is highly annoying watching as Thugs and the like publicly call out a leader for killing those of lower rank. Well tough titties. If the aggressor and victor decides that the whole family should be wiped then they should feel free to do so.

Yes Anthony a protection order was given but it only affects those that are tagged. I hope you friend has the family tag.

im with Keeno on this subject...that was kind of shadey...plus...as tnaryt's overseer...isnt it partly yours to blame for the leadership default...now i get where your coming from,but LA is both of your families rightful place...there should have been discussions in the making....not just an urge for power nor removal...

The simple fact is that, as city head, ParanoidFreak has the right to remove whoever she wants from her city for any reason, or no reason at all. And she doesn't owe us plebians any sort of explanation as to why she takes any actions she takes.

When you take someone out, it is always *always* advisable to take out their Hands (unless special circumstances, as in this case, are present) and as much of their structure and their hitters as you possibly can, simply to avoid any flareups from disgruntled people.

While I'm sure your friends/fathers/sisters/whatevers would absolutely not vow retribution and go all shooty on ParanoidFreak, it's simply better to be safe than sorry.

Well as to the reason why tnaryt was removed isnt fully there i heard of more reasons from reliable sources to as these rumors were true i am not to sure as i heard them from a 3rd party but if they were they were truely grounds for removale and the inner was a bad thing there was always a possibility that if paranoidfreak didnt take out the rest she would be attacked herself by remaining members she made the decision she thought was best for her family and her city and for this i applaud her

It seems that some people have forgotten to listen to everything ParanoidFreak said before finding fault. Lack of leadership certainly is not the only reason cited, and if it were simply a matter of lack of leadership surely no one but the leader would have been replaced. But that's not what ParanoidFreak said.

Most people are bright enough to figure out a euphemism when they read one, especially after attention is called to it. Dirty laundry need not be aired more than that, but to be sure there was a reason that it was not just tnaryT that was shot.
