The Kings of The North Started by: Scott-Weiland on Jun 03, '12 22:45

Scott-Weiland woke up this morning, much like he does any other morning. He sat up on the edge of his bad, grabbed and lit a cigarette, shook awake the lucky lady who he had privileged with laying with him the night before, and directed her to the guest bathroom. Once she was finished cleaning herself up, he handed her a couple of bills and called her a taxi. "Don't call me, I'll call you."

He got up, showered, put a towel around himself, and looked into the mirror. True this day had started like any other, but this wasn't any other day. He looked over at the edge of the vanity, seeing a trusty bottle of scotch, no he needed to be sober for this. He thought back to the events of a few days prior;

"Scott-Weiland, Scott-Weiland!" I heard the voice coming toward me, putting one hand on my gun I turned towards the voice, only to see a lone messenger boy running towards me. "Don Valmont wanted me to give you this." Thanks kid, here, go get yourself something nice. I tossed him a few coins and opened up the note. "Meet me in my office as soon as possible, Valmont." Huh, wonder what this could be? No matter, don't want to keep him waiting, gets grumpy sometimes. I walked over to my shiny black Lincoln K, and direct the driver to return me to the Bandito Family Mansion. I smoke a cigarette along the way. We finally arrive, and I direct him to park behind Valmont's' Royce. I rush up to Don Valmont's office. "Ah, Scottie, glad you made it. Have a seat." I sit down in front of Valmont's desk, and pull a bottle of Russian Vodka from my jacket, then set it down in front of him. From that favor I did a few days ago for the Russians, one of my associates dropped it off this morning. I pull two glasses from the side of Valmont's desk, and pour us both a glass. "Scott, I called you here today to inform you that you will be moving on from the Bandito family soon. I found an old antique museum on the side of town, I want you to take over the legit business, and I want you to run your own criminal enterprise from there. Do you follow?" I gag a bit on my vodka that I'd already started drinking. Of course I follow, and I'm honored Valmont. I assure you that I will do my best to make the city of Detroit even stronger.

A loud banging noise on his door snaps him back to reality. "Scott, ten minutes!" Yeah, yeah, I'm coming, I'm coming. He lit another cigarette and got himself dressed in his finest suit, then took one longing glance over the room he had grown so accustomed to. He smiled at the memory of all that had occurred here. It has been a wild ride. He ran down the steps of the Family Mansion, and Valmont was already standing by the door. He handed him the keys to his new museum. "Scott, I'll be there in a couple hours for the opening ceremony. Be ready." I will, I just have a couple of things I need to take care of first.

With that, he walked down to his Lincoln K, and directed the driver to the edge of the city. Scott-Weiland looked up from his thoughts to see a somewhat broken down castle approaching. Home. Directing his driver to park at the edge of the circle, he steps out of the car. Admiring the look of the castle, he walks around to make sure the workers have completed fixing all of the broken windows and doors around the place. After ensuring everything was fixed, he walked into his new home. Don Valmont arrived moments later and honked his horn for Scott to come out. A nice podium had been set up on the steps. Scott walked out to stand next to Valmont. As the spectators began to gather, Don Valmont gave his speech. After its conclusion, I stepped up to the podium.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I will not keep you here long, for I have much work to do. Without further ado, allow me to introduce to you The Kings of The North! A museum chronicling the era of The Third Crusade. I am very grateful to Don Valmont for allowing me this opportunity, and I assure him this will be a booming success. Now, with that, I must get to work. Good day all.

Scott-Weiland waved to the gathered spectators, shook Don Valmont's hand, and led him into the castle, to show him what he had done with the place so far.

Valmont follows Scottie into the Museum.

“Scottie, this is a proud day for me. You have been a loyal member of the Banditos for a long time now. I am so proud to give you this opportunity; there is no question in my mind that you deserve it more than anyone.

Now, I have something for you.”

Valmont walks out of the grand entrance and into the main office of from the front lobby. There is a pregnant pause followed by the loud thunk of a vault opening. Valmont then emerges again carrying a large shimmering silver sword. The hilt of the sword forms a cross with the butt forming the head of a Lion. The sheath is embroider with the phrase “Our greatest fear is not that we are Inadequate our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond all measure”

Valmont walks over to Scottie and hands him the sword.

“Scottie, this sword is one of the artifacts that came with the museum, I want you to have it. It is said that this sword was passed down by the great kings of old who ruled over this land many centuries ago. I think it fitting that you have it now. Scott-Weiland there is one thing that you know just as well as I, and it is the reason I have given you permission to set up along side me today. This is the Motor City, and this is what we do.

Creed made his way to join the rest of the people who had joined Scott. The news had spread to Creed and he was both happy and saddened by the news. Happy because Scott was getting the opportunity to start his own family but saddened that Scott was leaving his current family.

Scott, this is a great day and I know you will do great things with The Kings of The North as you have done working with the Banditos. Best of luck my friend.

Creed shook Scott's hand and went back with the spectators to watch the rare occasion.

Ter emerges from the shadows of one of the pillars of the new museum, lights a cigarette and approaches Scottie to congratulate him...

Scottie... I have gotta say you have surprised me beyond belief, When I came to this world I looked over my fathers journals and they spoke of an associate he had met, It was the first time the bloodlines had worked together but you went on to prove you deserved a chance to run a family by taking up the position my father left vacant with his death, You held down the position so well that I myself couldn't even earn it back from you.

Ter takes another pull of his cigarette, And exhales with a sigh of relief.

You have gone on to receive such a blessing from Don Valmont from shear hard work. There are a few more people in Detroit who were competing with you for this spot, and condolences to those who were not chosen, But even they will happily admit; Well deserved... Congratulations.

Now I'mma have a look round for somewhere I can set up a quick grow upstairs...

Ter takes another pull of his cigarette and discards it before heading into the new museum doors...

Everglade was at his home when the good news reached him, his good friend Scott had been recognized for his excellent work. Scott was a great guy and Everglade was extremely happy for him, he deserved it fully and knew he would be a great success.

"Well done Mr Weiland, I have been proud and honoured to work with you here in Detroit. I am extremely happy for you, well done sir!"

Adamine, hearing the announcement cannot beleive his ears. Our once LHM Scott-Weiland is setting up here in Detroit? While this is exciting news it is also disappointing. For as long as I have known him, hes been one of the hardest working Mafioso's around, and without him around our family suffers a great loss.

Scott, this is a double edged sword for me. I hate to see you leave the family, but know you were meant for such. I wish you the best of luck and hope you and Valmont create a very strong Detroit. Good luck with your endevours sir, I still hope to speak to you from time to time.

Joey leaned casually against Valmonts car, he'd hitched a ride from the boss his hand all bandaged, The pain of which made him unable to drive up on his own. A memento from a truck heist a few nights previously. A failed one at that the driver closing the door on my hand as I'd began to climb in, Everglade had said it was all bought and paid for the driver would take a few bruises and we'd take the loot and give him a cut. But no the truck driver had suddenly grown a set and thought we were chumps. He'd been proven right for the short time he was alive anyway me screaming about my fucking hand and Everglade blasting his gun around like he was at the fun fair, It had taken the calm head of Creighton Duke to end the drivers miserable life before we'd heard the sirens.

He watched the others around him as Valmont spoke, To some this was a joyous day and of course it was a privilege for Scott to be recognised for all his fine work, But as Joey plastered a smile over his face it never reached his eyes, He would miss Scott being around the crew. He wasn't going far he'd still be in Detroit but it wouldn't be the same. He'd be busy looking after his own family and would have little time now to just chill. He'd saved Joey's life and in that moment Joey's loyalty had been unwavering to him, A few mill from Scott's own pocket had seen Joey not take the swim he'd have been destined for, That was the guy he'd miss.

It had soon come Scott's time to speak before he began waving to the watching crowd, Even through the pain of his hand Joey clapped his hands together for the King of the North.

"The North remembers as do I Scott, As do I."

Joey quietly spoke to himself a solemn vow that if the interests weren't against Valmonts wishes he'd be there if Scott ever needed him.
