A dark figure walks along a Chicago back alley. Listening to the rain battering against the tops of the buildings beside him. As he approaches the end of the path he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a smoke and lights it. Taking a few puffs he turns the corner onto the main street. He walks a few houses down and stops at one of the houses and opens the gate. Retrieving the key from his pocket he walks up to the door and unlocks it. He enters removing his coat and placing his hat on the stand. Tommy-Sparosi had been working all day and was having a well-deserved rest. Keeping two jobs as well as running drugs for the family and doing over 7-11s, it was a hard life. His boss getting frustrated at the lack of business in Chicago market place and the lack of customers coming to the Casino. He was beginning to wonder why he was doing this. Gaining all of the acquaintances and making a few bucks wasn't really cutting it. As well as all of the stress his family has brought to him, with the deaths of his friends and family members and the threat of death himself during the wars. Tommy-Sparosi stood up from his leather recliner and walked into the kitchen and began making him self a cappuccino. He added some whipped cream and walked into the hallway. He saw a brown envelope in front of the door. Curious he walked over and picked up the letter. He walked back into the main room and looked at the letter. There was no address or stamp and this was when he knew it was delivered personally. He turned it over and began to open it. He read it out. "Dear Tommy-Sparosi, Please attend the ceremony of Tommy-Sparosi to celebrate his promotion to Made Man. The ceremony will take place on 17th of August at 5pm. Meet at the Headquarters and remember your cookies and crumpets. Yours truly, Alessia" Tommy looks at the letter and then remembers why he was in this life. The one reason was to gain the respect of others. Placing the letter down he stands up to go and iron his best suit and get ready to attend the ceremony. ((OOC)) Thank you to everyone in the family for accepting me into the community and thank you to everyone else for making me feel welcome and being friendly and showing me the way. |
